(Photo by Oke) Hosting the Huron South District Annual of the s Women's institute was Hurondale Women's Institute at Thames Road United Church on May 17, 1979: Mrs. Glen Stewart welcomed alt the nine branches and Kippen East replied and: invited all to the Kippen branch for the 1980 District Annual. Mrs:: James Drummond, president of the Huron. South District, chose the theme "Growing to Help Others Grow". Mrs.: Drummond stated our Women's Institute was growing stronger . and reaching out and reports indicated this.. ABERHART A Seaforth area native George Haile ' Aberhart died suddenly at his residence RR 7 London on Tuesday May 24•' He was in his 74th year. Born in McKillop he was the. eldest . son of the late George . Aberhart and Barbara Mc(,ee and`. following graduation from Seaforth Collegiate and Univ ersity . of Western Ontario began a teaching career that continued until his retirement: as principal of St. Georges, school, London about ten years ago. Mr. Aberhart retained a keen interest in the Seaforth area and was a frequent -visitor here. . He is survived by his wife. the former Mabel. Crowe and by a. son Charles of London. He also is survived by sisters Mrs.. After the International Harvester Western Show and a Gospel show the school choir left and the "Graduage's Choir and Uke ' Group" sang a , few numbers. The girls modeled. their garments that they made in Home Economics; in a fashion show "emceed" by Shelley Parker (Clare David- son). During a fifteen minute. intermission the audience was. •'served ' hot dogs and . coffee seated at a "Junior' Farmer's Tent". The choir re=entered and the show continued with the "Huron County Highsteppers". The grand finale was 9 parade including garden . tractors representing various intple ment companies.
