McMillan of Collingwood. M. J. Miles McMillen of
Colorado Springs, Colorado, Col. Frank Pearce. and Mrs.
Pearce, Winnipeg, Mr, and Mrs. Thos. Christopher,
London, Mrs. Emily Dick, London, Mrs. George Daly,
Niagara on the Lake, Mr. E. R. MeEwan of Guelph: and
Mrs. Mary Van Tright of Strathroy.
Don Stoneman, 23, whose father Ben: Stoneman farms
outside Hensall, has been, appointed beef and field crops
reporter for the publication, Farm and Country. Don, a
graduate of the journalism program at Conestoga College,
Kitchener, was formerly editor of the Belle River North'
Essex News and'also worked for Leader Publications,
Dresden.
Farm and Country is published in Toronto,
The Huron County Pioneer Museum in goderich will be
officially re -opening on May 5 for the summer season. Last
season; over 22,000 people visited the mtiseinn and it's
•display of early Huron County pioneer artifacts. '
' Alice Gibb of Seaforth attended a party honoring Hugh
Bremner, veteran CFPL radio newsman, -held. at the
University of Western Ontario on Friday evening. Mr:
Bremner has taught broadcast journalism at the School of
UWO for many years, and his former students
have contributed to a bursary which will be awarded
_ annuauy in his honor. Haigh bremner hosted the CFPL
television news broadcast until 1970_ when he switched
over to radio. -

Re v. J. lire and. Mrs; Stewart were in -Toronto over the
weekend of the 22nd when • they attended the 65th
anniversary of services of St. James Presbyterian church
in Long Branch. Mr. Stewart: was the first regular minister
in 1916, the church; Naving been organized in 1914. He
assisted at the Morning service and at its conclusion cut
4,01e anniversary :Cake during the social period. The speaker

was Rev. Dr. Stanley Walters, prr...fessorof Old Testament
Languggeand Literature at Knox College. 'They visited
friends and relatives in Toronto, Port Credit, Manic and.
Norval and Islington.
Last week Rev. and Mrs. Stewart attended the
Reception and Dinner in London of the McGill Society of
London. Mr. Stewart graduated from McGill University in'.
1904.
Visitors over the weekend at the home of Rev. and Mrs.
J. lire Stewart were his two daughters; Mrs. Alvin
Haininend and her husband, Moorefield. Mrs. Lloyd
Christner, Kitchener and his son Dr. Ken Stewart and: his
wife; Waterloo, also Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McDonald,
Walton. The occasion was the celebration of the 72nd year
of Mr. Stewart's ordination to the ministry. This took place
on April 30th, 1907, .
