Senior ringette wins two games
BY CAROLANNE DOIG
The Seaforth and Disti ict Sr. GaAs Ringette
team was busy this past -week. visiting
Stratford and Mitchell. Last Wednesday in
Stratford the girls posted an exciting win over
the Stratford N2 team, rated as the best in the
league. The final score was 5-3 and the whole
team played exceptionally well.
Saturday and Sunday saw the girls at the
Mitchell ringette tournament. They won both
gameyn Saturday defeating Stratford 11I 4-3
arl Brussels 8-6. This assured them a spot in
the semi finals. \even though they still had to
meet Mitchell on 'Sunday.
The Mitchell goaltending proved to be too
much for Seaforth. Although our girls kept
the pressure opt, the ring wouldn't go in the
net and we list 6-4. '

The semi final gamg was set for Sunday
afternoon against Stratford 81. The final
score was 4-1 for Stratford this too was an
exciting:game and throughout the tourna-
ment all the girls put on a fine showing.
We were pleased to include two Tweens in
Mir roster and they too. played well.
Unfortunately an injury to Lisa Calver. kept
her from the line up after the first game. We
wish her a speedy recovery as we certainly
need her in the line up. •
On Wednesday. Dec. 28 the Seaforth
Optimists are sponsoring a junior girls
ringette tournament gat the Seaforth and
