The family of Mervyn and Freda Pipe
entertained their parents with dinner at the
Triple K restaurant in Blyth, Dec. 3, their
45th Wedding Anniversary_
When they returned to their home, a
surprise party of- 35 relatives and friends
greeted them. Euchre was played followed
by lunch and a beautifully decorated
anniversary cake. The couple received many
cards, gifts and a poinsettia.

The Christmas meeting of the W.M.S. of
Melville Presbyterian Church took place on
Friday afternoon at the home of the
President, Mrs. Gerald Gibson.
Isabel Adams read an article from the
"Glad Tidings" telling of the work of some
of our missionaries in Africa. Mrs. Adams
read th? Christmas Story and Mrs. James
Mair gave a Christmas meditation. Mrs.
Alex McLeod presented the Christmas
message stressing the "Joys of Christmas" -
the brightness of the stars, the angels, the
visiting Wise Men from the East with their
gifts and Mrs. Gibson thanked all who had
contributed to the meeting.
