dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Duncan,
Kirkton.
Mrs. Ted Harburn, Jim, Gail, Denise and.
Scott Holladay and friend Erin, Exeter,
t celebrated Denise's 7th birthday with supper
and a birthday cake at Mother's and bowling
later.
Dinner guests Sunday evening with Mike
and Mary Jane Parsons were Joanne
Templeman, Mississauga, Hank, Nancy and
Kim Bertens, Fullerton, and John, Roberta
and Barbara Templeman.
Attending the London . Convention at
St. Mary's Community 4 entre on Thursday
and Friday were Mrs Carter Kerslake, Mrs.
Dalton Smale and Mist John Templeman,
Janice Vivian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Vivian was the recipient of one of the
Maryn Pardy Scholarships. Janice is attend-
ing the University of Guelph.
John Neufield, Grimsby, visited on Wed-
nesday with Rob Templeman.
Mrs. Bert Daynard, hosted the Family and
Consumer Affairs meeting of the Staffa
Women's Institute Oct. 26.
Guest speaker for the evening was Mrs.
Russell Miller who demonstrated the art of
furniture refinishing. Mrs. Dalton Smale
presided. Members answered the roll call by
naming the residence in which they had lived.
Mrs. Lloyd Miller presided for the
business. It was decided to begin the course
on rug braiding which Mrs. Carter Kerslake
and Mrs. Jack Burchill are leading. The first
meeting will be at Mrs. Kerslakes Nov. 2. A
mini -bake sale was held following • the
meeting.
Mrs. John Drake, Staffa, Mrs. Gordon
Hess, Zurich and Mrs. Bill Freele, Parkhill,
visited for a few days with their sister, Mrs.
Mary Rossi, Etobicoke.
Several from the community were guests at
the Bunting -Roney wedding and reception at
Brodhagen on Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Feeney have moved to
the farm they purchased from Mr. and Mrs.
Ross Smale. Mr. and Mrs. Smale are now
residing in Egmondville.
