Ethel WI tours CKNX
The Canadian Industries
meeting of the Ethel W.I.
began with a tour of the
CKNX Radio and Television
station in Wingham. Every-
one had a chance to see how
the programs for radio and
television are produced. The
ladies and children were
focused on by a T.V. camera
and all haddhe opportunity to
see themselves on T.V. This
was especially enjoyed by the
children and the ladies took
delight in observing them-
selves as well.
The meeting continued at
the home of Mrs. Cliff Bray in
Wingham, presided over by
Mrs. Archie Jackiin.
The secretary was to be
notified by those planning to
attend the Area Convention
being held in Guelph Oct. 20,
21 by Oct. 1.
Mrs. Ralph Keffer gave her
report from the District Di.
rector's meeting held recent-
ly at Mrs, Lloyd Jacques' in
Gorrie.
Ethel W.I. has been asked
to cater for the Grey Town-
ship Federation of Agricul-
ture dinner held Nov. 16 in
Ethel. Mrs. Joules McMahon
and Mrs. Larry Keifer are
convenors. 0.
The roll call was answered
with everyone feeling the
same about buying Canadian
made products. This practice
keeps Canadians employed.
Members said Canadian
clothing seems to be longer in
the arms and legs.
Members were asked to
consider a return to night
meetings in order that the
working ladies would be able
to attend.
