BENNEWIES — ADAMS
Judith Elizabeth Adams, daughter of Ray and Helen
Adams, of Guelph and Robert Douglas Bennewies, son of
Ivan and Marjorie Bennewies of RR1 Bornholm were married
June 25 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brocihagen. Maid of
honour was Vickie McCall, of Brussels, and bridesmaids were
Karen Richmond, of Blyth, June Adams, of Guelph, and
Jan Adams, of Guelph. Barbie Adams, of Meaford was the
flowergirl and Chris Richmond, of Blyth was the ringbearer.
The groomsman was Neil Dekroon, of Mitchell and the ushers
were Dale Bennewies, of Bornholm, Jeff Cardiff, of Brussels
and Jim Adams of Guelph. Rev: Arthur Horst officiated. The
reception took place at the Brussels, Morris and Grey
Community Centre. After the wedding trip to Pennsylvania,

HATS—Were passed out tit the residents of the •Kllbarchan Nursing Home by Junior
Farmers and Darlene Coughtrey for future use at barbecues and outdoor activities. Also
$30 was donated to both the Manor and Kllbarchan nursing homes to be used as the homes
see fit.
Jr. Farmers visit Manor for music
Seaforth Junior Farmers
visited Seaforth Manor re-
cently and presented a musi-
cal program. Taking part
were Patricia Rimmer, Janice
Murray and Debbie Hulley
with Glen Haney as M.G.
Also present were Sharon
Pethick and Steve Steinman.
Miss Keri McLlwain also did
a step dance.

Mary Finlayson with a gift of
money to be used for treats
for the residents and also the
gift of ladies and men's sun
hats, Mary thanked the Jun-
ior Farmers on behalf of the
residents. Sid Pearson ex-
tended an invitation for a
return visit.
Monday afternoon Rev. J.
Vanslyke of Northside United
Church visited and for his
sermon chose the Creation.
He showed slides of the many
beauties of nature, Mrs.
Vanslyke assisted. Accom-
panying for the hymns was
Mrs, Mabel Crouch.
It is truly remarkable and a
privilege to hear this lady who
has passed her 90th birthday
play without a note of music.
All residents wished Rev.
Vanslyke a happy holiday and
look forward to regular ser-
vices again in September.
Members of Bethel Bible
Church visited on Wednes-
day and in the absence of
Rev. Archie Robertson, Mr.
and Mrs. Mervyn Lobb con-
ducted the service.

Tuesday morning a special
Olympics was held with
students of Mrs. Thomas'
grade VI class assisting with
the events. The winning
team was Mr. Nelson Hall
(capt) Mrs. Maxine Elliott,
Mrs. Ria Voogel and James
Tatulis. They scored 448
points. Miss Edith Solo's
team was second with 418
points while Mr. Ross
Houghton and team scored
405 points.
Heart jamboree
A most succepsful Open
House, Tea, Bake Sale and
Flea Mlrket, Bras held at
SeaforthManor Wednesday
on oon Unction with Senior
Citizens Week and Nursing
Home Heart Jamboree.
Pouring tea were Mrs. Mary
McIver, Mrs. Cassie Nichol-
son, Mrs. Mary Nolan and
Mrs. Margaret Smale. Wait-
resses were Anne Marie
Maloney, Judy Nigh and
Pam HaRckwell. The Heart
Tree wits laden with red
hearts in support of the
Heart Foundation. Assisting
at the bake table were Mrs.
Rachel Riehl and Hazel Mc-
Gonigle while the Flea Mar-
ket, had Ruth Nolan and
Cheryl Campbell assisting.

A picnic barbecue was
held on the lawn on Thursday
Visiting with Hill Scott was
his wife Isabel.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene Farley
of Toronto visited the latter's
father Dr. E. Sadlier.
Mr. Patrick Ryan enjoyed
a picnic outing on Sunday
with his sister Mrs. Kkthleen
Hernaki'and family.
Mrs. Mary Nolan visited
her husband Jim on Sunday.
