day, May 2, 1983.
Dr. Chapman was born in
Seaforth and lived in Fort
Erie for 45 years. He was a
dentist for 45 years. Dr.
Chapman was the past pres-
ident of the Ontario Dental
Association, Charter Past
President and Honorary
Member of the Niagara
Peninsula Dental Assocatlon,
Life Member of the Canadian
Dental Association and hold-
er of a 50 year jewel for
service In Dentistry. He was
a member for over 50 years
of Central Avenue United
Church and a Charter and
Life Member of the Fort Erie
Lions Club.
Dr, Chapman was a mem-
ber of Palmer Lodge No, 372
A.F. and A.M. for over 50
years. He was also an
Honorary 33rd degree of the
Supreme Council of Canada
of Scotish Rite, charter
member of Niagara Chapter
Rose Croix and past Most
Wise Sovereign of the Chap-
ter.
Dr. Chapman is survived
by his wife Jean (Hamilton);
daughter, Nancy, Mrs. Ho-
ward Forrest, of Buffalo;
three grandsons, John, Peter
and Thomas and one great
granddaughter. Dr. Chap-
man was predeceased by
his first wife, Helen Mus-
grove, five brothers and one
sister.
The Fort Erie Lions Club
held a walk past May 4. A
memorial service under the
auspices of Palmer Lodge
No. 372 A.F. and A.M. was
held at the Fort Erie Chapel
of the Davidson Funeral
Homes.
Funeral services were held
at Central Avenue United
Church, May 5 by the Rev.
R. Pocklington. A private
family committal service fol-
lowed in the Fairview Cem-
etery in Niagara Falls.

Janet McFadzean. He was a
farmer.
The lade Mr. Shortreed is
survived by his wife, the
former Isabelle Warwick;
one son, Kenneth, of Morris
Township two daughters,
Louise, Mrs. William Smith
of Mitchell, and Joan Beuer-
man of Stratford; 12 grand-
children; • seven great-
grandchildren and two
brothers. He was predeceas-
ed by two brothers and a
sister, Mary Shortreed,

Eldon Henry Demerling of
Harriston, died peacefully on
Friday, May 6, 1983 in
Palmerston and District
Hospital.
The late Mr. Demerling is
survived by his wife, the
former Eileen Warden and
his only sister, Hilda, Mrs.
William Austin of Seaforth.
Six nieces and nephews also
survive.
He rested at the Hardy
Funeral Home, Harriston,
where funeral services took
place on Monday, May 9.

of 37 Side St., Seaforth
Community Hospital on Sun-
day, May 8, 1983. The late'
Mr. Vincent was born in
Preston.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Veronica Jordan,
and three children, Frank;
Mary Katherine and John.
Three brothers. Arthur of
Brantford; Jack of Ingersoll
and Ross of Dorion and three
sisters, Evelyn, Mrs. Leo
Jones of MacTier; Ruth,
Mrs. Pat McGrath of Dublin
and Eva, Mrs. James Brown
of Egmondville also survive.
The late Mr. Vincent rest-
ed at the R.S. Box Funeral
Horne until Wednesday, May
11 when funeral services
were held from St. James'
Roman Catholic Church.
Rev. Father J.C. Carauna
officiated. Rev. S.J. McDon-
ald was present in the sanctu-
ary. Interment followed in St.
James Roman Catholic
Cemetery.

officiated at the service. The matron of honour was Marilyn
Pcnnings, sister of the bride, and the Bridesmaids were Joan
Guichelaar. sister of the bride and Joanne Flanagan. friend of
the bride. The best man was Aart Pol, brother of the groom.
and the ushers were Ivan Pol, brother of the groom and Ron
Pennings, cousin of the groom and brother-in-law of the bride.
The reception was held in the Seaforth and District Community
