Activation group is
in eighth year
The Activation Group at the Seaforth
Community Hospital was formed eight
years ago to assidt the in -patients with
therapeutic activities. Some examples of
these undertakings include crafts, bingo,
bean bag throw, chair exercises, films,
current events and local group
entertainment.
This group is held at 11 a.m. ;on
Tuesdays and Fridays of each week, in
the patient lounge. It is staffed by Carol
Hunt and Mary Margaret Nash.
Volunteers offer their services with this
group as well, and include, Jane Vin-
cent, Ruth Thorburn, Eleanor Horst and
Marjorie Varley.
Occasionally the in -patients are
unable to attend the large group activi-
ty and may be visited at bedside. When
weather permits, outdoors becomes a
welcome event.
This therapeutic specialty is becoming
a vital aspect of rehabilitation in the
health care setting.
