The Annual "Dublinfest" was held at the
Dublin and District Community Centre on
Saturday, July 15 and was well attended.
Activities started with a Pancake
Breakfast put on by the Cromarty Scouts
under the supervision of leader "Lion" Jim
Paratecheck. A very pretty bike parade
was held at 1 p.m. and 56 beautiful
decorated bikes and buggies started from
the Post Office and paraded to the Com-
munity Centre. Each child received a
"Looney" for his/her participation.
Following the bike parade a number of
children took part in the Mini Tractor Pull
held on the cement pad at the school.
Each child received a "Looney".
The three trophy winners were: 1st,
Terry Caronia; 2nd, Joey MacRae and 3rd,
Kyle Bennewies.
A slo-pitch ball game was much enjoyed
by the speectators and the players. It
featured the "Wingham Try Herds" and
the "Dublin and District Co -Ed 'Team".
The winners were Wingham after being
harassed by the Dublin girls. A fun game
was enjoyed by all.
A collection was taken up and the pro-
ceeds were donated to the Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital.
Frotp 5 to 7 p.m. a pork steak barbecue
was well attended and enjoyed by all. The
cooks were "Lions" members assisted by
their wives serving.
In the evening an overflowing crowd at-
tended the dance. Music was provided by
a D.J. "Stevens Services". A good time
was had by all.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Benninger Manu
family from Hornepayne have been home
visiting his parents Mr. and Mr's, Hugh
Benninger.
The sympathy of the community goes
out to the relatives of Clarence Ryan who
passed away last week.
Mary and Ken MacRae from
Washington, D.C. were with Don and
Eileen MacRae for a few days.
Don and Eileen MacRae are holidaying
at "Point Farms". Visitors on Sunday
were Pat and Marion Cleary from London.
Also for the weekend were Don's daughter
and grandson, Nora Ann and Trevor
Jackson from London and Doug and Relate
Robinson of Bluewater Beach.

Sunday in July, July 30 and continue until
August 27.
John and Helen Warren, Chris, Michael
Justin; Shane and Luke of Moose Jaw,
Saskatchewan, -spent a couple ,of weeks
with relatives in this area and Cecil and
Betty Warren of Shakespeare.

The James and Sarah Delaney family
reunion was held on July 1 at the Dublin
and District Community Centre.
About 200 relatives attended from
Toronto, Kitchener, Ottawa, Windsor,
Brucefield, Stratford, Kinkora, Mitchell,
St. Columban and Guelph.
A game of baseball and a lot of visiting
was enjoyed by all.

at the Cranbrook Community Centre on
July 8 to celebrate the 40th wedding an-
niversary of Stuart and Eleanor Steven-
son. Guests came from Atwood, Kit-
chener, Brussels, Walton, Whitby, Toron-
to, Waterdown, Ridgeway, New Hamburg,

Anne Marie Allen has moved into the
manse this past week. She is the new pastor
at Hibbert United Church and is welcomed
to the community.
Tony and Carolyne Simons entertained all
Matthew's friends from nursery school on
Saturday .11ebrating Matthew's fifth
birthday.
Mrs. C. Murdock has been visiting with
her daughter, Carolyne and Tony Simons
and family and is returning to her home in
Scotland later this week.
Family and friends helped Arthur and
Margaret Kemp celebrate their 50th wed-
ding anniversary on the weekend. On Fri-
day evening Russell and Margaret Miller
and Bob and Bernice Norris entertained
them to dinner in Goderich, and family
members, Ed, Eleanor, Mark, Erin and
Ryan Laurence, Milton and David, Audrey,
Christine, Robert and Alonna Kemp, Clin-
ton, had dinner with them at their home on
Saturday. The family all attended church
together at Hibbert United on Sunday morn-
ing and later enjoyed a family dinner in St.
Mary's.
Supper was served by L and M Cater-
ing and music and dancing finished off
the •day. ---

Chapin of Orleans, spent the week with
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Melady.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Melady are pro-
ud to announce the arrival of their
chosen granddaughter, Rebecca, a
daughter for Jeanne (Melacjy) and Jim
Fisk of St. Paul, Alberta.

40th anniversary

Joanne, daughter of Jack and Donna
Knight left for Vancouver on June 23. She
has accepted a position at the Workers'
Compensation Board Clinic in the physio-
therapy department.
Sibyl Smith from Toronto visited Peter
Hagedoorn. They attended the Brussels
Funfest. "It takes me back to my roots",
she said enjoying all the activities on the
main street.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Strickler and
Mrs. Mac Engel attended an open house
in Fullerton United Church on July 9
celebrating the 85th birthday of ;lfrs.

Mrs. Lloyd Smith and Wayne spent a
day with Mrs. David Rapson and children
who are camping at Brant Conservation
Park, Paris, for the week.
Visiting Don and Mrs. Cotton during
the week were Mr. and Mrs. Angus Starr
from Shelbourne and Garnet Starr and
Joyce Brown, Wallaceburg.
Jack Conley had a trip to Timmins and
Mrs. Conley visited her sister Isabel
Hewitt in Listowel.

Applicants end their proposals will be assessed on the basis of education, work ex-
perience, technical skills, communications and Interpersonal akIlis, and the merits of
the proposal submitted. Among other requirements, the proposed facility must be ac-
