JOYCE DEVEREAUX, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Tom Sloan of St. Columban, and wife of
John Devereaux of RR 4 Seaforth,
graduated from the University of Toronto in
April with her Bachelor of Education
degree. A year earlier, in July 1988, she
graduated from the University of Guelph's
Bachelor of Applied Science program with a
major in Child Studies. Joyce is now
employed by the Huron Perth Roman
Catholic Separate School Board, and will be
teaching at St. Patrick's Separate School in
Dublin in September.
BIRTHS
JOANNE ID, CARTER, daughter of Don and
Carol Carter of RR 2 Seaforth, has
graduated from George Brown College,
Nightingale Campus in Toronto. She com-
pleted the two-year Activation Co-ordinator
program fn Gerontology. Joanne is a former
graduate of the Seaforth Public School and
the Seaforth District High School.
Williamson reunion
held this week
Twenty-eight descendants of Thomas
and Gertrude Williamson held their an-
nual reunion at the home of Albert and
Mona Hutton, Listowel on July 9, 1989.
Games and contests, were conducted by
Carol Anne Regele and Anne and Cathy
Williamson. These were enjoyed before
everyone sat down to a delicious
barbecue and potluck supper.
Three new babies were given new
dollar bilis: Katie Joyce Williamson,
daughter of Tom and Joyce; Paul
Michael Gordon McGrath, son of Jim and
Sharon, and Christlan Matthew Regele,
son of Charles and Carol Anne.
A short business meeting followed with
Carol Anne Regele, President presiding.
The following officers were elected for
1990: Past Pres. Carol Anne Regele;
Pres. Mark Kitching; Vice Pres. Ina
McGrath; Secretary Olive Clarke, Treas.
Russell Jervis and sports Brenda and
Scott Kitching.
Evelyn Carter thanked Carol Anne and
her committee for their hospitality and
invited them to their home for the 1990
reunion to be held the second Sunday in
July.
Tenders for installation of 2 Acorn
Style Street Lights in Victoria Perk will
be received until 4:00 p.m. Friday, July
28, 1989. Work to include cement
footings, wiring and total Installation.
Wiring to be•undergroundand hooked -

The family of the late Clarence Ryan would

friends, relatives and neighbours for their
prayers and, support during his Illness while at
home and in the Seaforth Hospital and during
our recent sad bereavement of a dear hus-

mass offerings, sympathy cards, donations to
the Cancer Society, the Seaforth Hospital

brought to our homes and to those who

ALBERT BOVEN
Albert Boven of RR 4 Walton died Mon-
day, July 17, 1989etthe Seaforth Communi-
ty Hospital. He was 47.
Mr. Boven is survived by his wife; the
former Helen VanAmersfoort, and children
Michael, Laurie, Casey and Kelly, all at
home.
Mso surviving are his mother, Hendrika
Boven; sisters, Betsy (Mrs. Piet Boonstra)
of Holland; Riet (Mrs. Rodger Hurdlik) of
Chicago, Kinie (Mrs. Bernie Kolkman) of
Goderich; Ineke (Mrs. Chris Knetsch) of
Toronto, Corry (Mrs. Kurt Stryker) of
Seaforth and 1Alie Boven of Holland;
brothers, Gerrit and his wife Nel of
Seaforth, John and his wife Femmy of Clin-
ton, Hank and his wife Janke of Holland, and
Fred and his ,wife Greta and Carl and his
wife Shirley, all of Kingston.
Mr. Boven was predeceased by his father
Karl Boven.
The family will receive friends at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home in Seaforth
until 2:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) when a
funeral service will be held at the Blyth
Christian Reformed Church. Interment
Blyth Cemetery.
FRANK LESLIE RILEY
Frank Leslie Riley of Bournemouth,
England, and formerly of Nottingham,.
England, died June 28,1989 at ho$pital. He
Wes 93.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years,
Flora Riley; and by three daughters, F.
Vivienne •Newnham of Seaforth, Marion
Maxwell of Scotland, and Sylvia Brltlantd
of Billingham, England.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren;
nine great grandchildren; and one sister,
Wimdfred Striven of Bournemouth.
Mr. Riley was predeceased by four
. brothers and one grandson, Robert M.
Newnham.
'MARION JEANETTE SHOCKCOR
Marion Jeanette Shoekcor of Farmington,
Michigan, died Monday, July 3, 1989. She
was 96.
The daughter of the late John and Rar-
bara. Sproat of Seaforth, she is;survived by
daughter Gloria and son Roger of ;Farm -

A funeral service was held on Saturday,

Some 50 members of the Coleman fami-
ly gathered at the Seaforth Lions Park
for their aihnual family reunion. During
the afternoon sports were conducted by
Diane March , Gail Uhler and Jim
Finlayson.

President Bob Coleman extended
greetings to all and Fern Baker also ex-
pressed good wishes from the Morley Col-
eman family of Ottawa, who were not
able to be present this year. One minutes
Silence was also observed for past family
members deceased.

Norma Leeming -Steele attended a reu-
nion at the Red Maple Inn, Monkton of
her former classmates. In attendance
were those from Listowel, Rosseau Lake,
Mitchell and Toronto.
On Saturday, July 15, Norma Steele
was a guest at the Stratford wedding of
her neice, Linda Leeming and Harry
Daum. '
