Academic excellence rewarded
Those students,of Seaforth District High
School ,,who excelled academically were
1reeognized recently, as SDHS held its
19884B91IonoarStudent Banquet.
:11 students ,will be nominated as Ontario
Scholars, for earning a grade point average
of410 per cent in their best six courses over
the last two years. They are Elizabeth
Boven, Rob Charters, Peter Chung, Cathy -
Lynn Flak, Paul Murray, Nancy McQuigge,
Jane Papple, Anne Robinson, Leanne Simp-
son, Melody Van Dorp and Steve Van Dyk.
FIVE YEARS OF HONOURS
The following students have obtained
honour standing in each of their five years
at Seaforth District High School: Elizabeth
Boven, Cathy -Lynn Hak, Paul Murray and
Pam Nolan.
HONOUR STUDENTS OF FOUR YEARS
Brian Alcock, Heather Baan, Sheila
Bachert, Tracy Bosman, Karen Campbell,
Rob Charters, Jason Dietz, Tracey Fischer,
Donna Miller, Marianne Moylan, Jason
Schoonderwoerd and Melody Van Dorp
were also given special recognition for hav-
ing obtained four years of honour standing.
GRADE 13
Grade 13 honour students were Elizabeth
Boven, Rob Charters, Cahty-Lynn Hak,
Tina Jeffrey, Nancy McQuigge, Paul Mur-
ray, Pam Nolan, Yvette Predhomme,
Leanne Simpson, and Meloday Van Dorp.
Each earned at least 75 per cent in six Grade
13 subjects.
GRADE 12
The Grade 12 honour students were Brian
Alcock, Heather Baan, Sheila Bachert,
Tracy Bosman, Karen Campbell, .Brad
Carter, Jason Dietz, Tracy Fischer, Sherry
Hoegy, Scott Lamont, Jacquie McNichol,
Donna Miller, Marianne Moylan, Sandy
Rose, Ken Ryan, Jason Schoonderwoerd,
Gloria Sparks, Leanne Whitmore, and Lori
Lynne Willems. Each earned 75 per cent in
seven subjects.
GRADE 11
The Grade 11 students with honours stan-
ding were Sharon Allan, Jim Bannerman,
Karsten Carroll, Cathy Carter, Cathy
Dalrymple, Nada Farag, Dwain Forrest,
Steven Fritz, Dan Glanville, Veronica Glan-
ville, Nancy Godkin, Cheri Hoggart, Jen-
nifer Hugill, Janice McIntosh, Heather
McKercher, Jennifer 'McQuigge, Tammy
Nash, Samantha Nesbitt, Shelly Nigh,
Valerie Overholt, Jason Poulton, Paulette
Predhomme, Mary Lou Stewart, Angela
Stoll, Dan Upshall, Tammy Vander Veen
and James Wilbee. Each obtained 75 per
cent in seven subjects.
GRADE 10
Grade 10 honours students included Pam
Bennett, Angela Bernard, Ann Marie Beuer-
man, Sherry Harburn, Lisa Henderson,
Ayesha Hills, Tammy Jones, Andrew Ken-
nedy, Andrea Moore, Debbie Nolan, Beth
Palin, Kate Papple, Greg Preszcator, An-
drea Ribey, Brad Schroeder, Shane Taylor,
Vicky Upshall, Brent Van Den Akker,
Virginia Van Gorder, Jonathan Wheatley,
and Melissa Whitmore. These students
needed 75 per cent in eight subjects for
honours standing.
GRADE 9
The Grade 9 honours students were Karen
Bachert, Wendy Bachert, Connie Banner-
man, Jason Beuttemniller, Amanda Butt,
Leanne Charters, Tammy Janmaat, David
Kennedy, Pepe Klaus, Wendy Lammerant,
Andrew Litt, Brian Melady, Mark Mac-
Donald, Kelly McCowan, John McKercher,
Honor McKinley, Seth McKinley, Sherri
McLachlan, Kerry McMillan, Michael
Pearce, Daymon Pilkington, Susan
Rowcliffe, Randy Shepherd, Julie Smith,
Joanne Van Loon, Karen Ward, and
Patricia Nigh. Each of these students need-
ed 75 per cent in eight subjects to achieve
honors standings.
