Belles advance in ringette
The second game of the series was played
on Friday, February 24 against Huron Park.
With just a little bit of car trouble the girls
finally made it to Huron Park. Seaforth was
keen and ready to win but Huron Park
wasn't going to give up that easily.
The first period was neck and neck, but
Seaforth broke loose with a powerplay goal
scored by Tammy Nash, assisted by team-
mates Jen Watt and Amy Vanden Ak-
ker. Just seconds later Huron Park scored
to tie it up.
Jen Watt said "Don't Worry Be Happy" as
she blasted one in assisted by Amy Vanden
Akker to put Seaforth back in the driver's
seat. Not too long after Huron Park slipped
one in to tie it at two apiece. Jen Watt came
to the rescue as she scored, assisted by
Sheri Kling. Jane Roweliffe gobbled up the
ring and scored assisted by the one and only
Jen Watt. The first period ended with
Seaforth in the lead by two.
Amy Vanden Akker, feeling the need for
speed, started off scoring assisted by Jen
Watt and Sheri Kling. Jen Watt, keeping up
her Gretzky image, scored again assisted by
hard-working defencernan Heather McKer-
cher, The second period saw Seaforth pop in
the goals one after another as Huron Park
counted for only one more goal. The game
ended with Seaforth defeating Huron Park
13-3.
Goalscorers for Seaforth: Number "99"

Vanden Akker with a hat trick, Tammy
Nash two, Jane Rowcliffe, Lori Dewys, and
Sheri Kling each with one. Assists went to

Dewys, Shelly Nigh, Heather McKercher
each with two and Tracey Sills with one,
Seaforth's goaltender Shelly O'Brien
resembled Grant Fuhr and her defencemen

The girls now wait to play in the second
