In an all day tournament here, they had earlier defeated Mount St. Josephs75 to 35 and ended up winning -t ire tournament agaihst Central Elgin 50 to 30. Kathy Larohe and Mary Thompson were both nominated for the All Star team and Mary was also runner up as the most valuable player of the tournament. (Photo by Hook) Port Stanley edge Cente BY GARY GRAY The Jr. Centenaires drop- ped their fourth game in seven outings as they were edged 6-5 in Port Stanley on Sunday night. Port Stanley opened the scoring at the 1:13 mark of the first period and by 6:50 of the second, frame had jump- ed into a 51.0 lead. At the end of the first it was 2-0 for the Lions. Shots on goal were 16-15 in favor of Port Stanley. Despite getting 15 shots on the Port Stanley -goal the Centenaires were badly outplayed with many of their shots coming from far. out thus creating Tew good scoring chances. In the second frame it again looked as if the Lions were going to run the Centenaires right out of the rink as they upped their lead to 5-0. The Level 1 . Clinic is Saturday, Dec. 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Seaforth and District Arena. The cost is $10 per person. The Lev81 11 Clinic is -Sunday, Dec. 12 from 9:00 e • a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Seaforth and District Arena. The cost is $35 per person. These clinics are open to a limited number of people but are not restricted to coaches. Any parents interested in attending may do so. Shots on goal were even at ten apiece in the period. Both teams had one power play goal in the game, while the Lions picked up 24 minutes in penalties com- pared to 20 for the Cente- naires.
