Minutes were read 'as approved by Mrs. Helen Williamson. Thank you cards were read from Mrs. G. Williamson and Mrs. C. Hoegy. Mrs. Barry Hoegy gave the treasurer's report and Mrs. Hugh John- ston the miscellaneous fund. Anyone wishing to have their name taken off the list are to let the treasurer know as soon as possible. Church calendars are available at $2 each. . The turkey supper Novem- ber 3 was discussed, U.C.W. planning meeting is set for November 8. November is copper month for the unit with the next sleeting to be at the home of Mrs. Hugh Johnston. Mrs. Craig closedthe meeting with prayer. Lunch was served by Mrs. M. Baan. Mrs. ' J. Williamson and the hostess. 8TH & 16TH UNiT MEETS The 8th and 16th unit met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Joyce Van Vliet with Mrs. Don McDonald in charge of devotions. The topic was given on Thanksgiving written by Gordon Hunsburger. remark- ing How Thankful we should be in this country. The business was in charge of Mrs, Don Fraser, Minutes were read by Mrs. Alvin McDonald. Roll .call was answered by each one telling what we are thankful for. Walton couple's anniversary honoured Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Schade of the Walton area were honoured at a surprise gathering and shivarec on Friday night. Oct. 8 when relatives and friends arrived at thcir farm home. The event as arranged to honor the couple on their 25th wedding anniscrsarv. Mrs. Schade is the former Ruth Gibson, Listowel, daughter of Arnold Gibson, Derry Si. and the late Mrs. Gibson. Mr Schade is the cnn of Mr. and Mrs Norman Schade. RR4.
