Lori Bromley did the Explorer picture. $6.75 was collected followed by a Hal- lowe'en party. LIONS CLUB The Londesboro Lions will be holding .their annual Hal- lowe'en party Saturday night starting at 7:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to all ages and everyone is welcome to come either in costume or just to watch the fun. :. Cheerio'Club met October 20th at the home of Mary Longman. Florence Vivian read Autumn Woods. The draw donated by Dora Shob- brook was won by June Fothergill. Program was a reading by Vietta Hoggart. Hallowe'en and another humourous read- ing by Mary Longman. A contest by Florence .Vivian, making the most words out of October won by -Edythe Bea- com. Lunch was served by Mary Longnfan, Florence Vivian and Vietta Hoggart. - W.I. DESSERT EUCHRE W.I. begun their season's euchre Oct. 22 with a dessert euchre, 10 tables in play. Executive was discussed with Brenda Radford moving up to President and Bernice Norman new secretary, The rest of the executive to be announced later by Helen Lee. Joan Whyte will be looking after the organization of favors for November 15 meet- ing. The General U.C.W. meet- ing is November 22 and Christmas Party. December 6. Lunch was served by Joan Whyte and Bernice Norman. PERSONALS Mrs. Myrtle Fairservice was admitted to Clinton Pub- lic Hospital. Monday, Octo- ber 18th and transferred later in the week to St. Joseph's Hospital, London for hip surgery. Tuesday ' supper guests with the Hulleys were Mrs. Cora Barrows, Goderich, Mrs, Lillian 'Rawlings, Forest, Mr. Geo Addison, Seaforth. Mr. and Mrs. John Nottingham, Laden B.C. spent a few days at the same. home. Monday, October 25 Superannuated' teachers of Ontario sponsored a trip with Sherwood bus to Limelight Theatre. Toronto, Eaton's Centre and dinner 'at Stone Crock. Elmira. Attending from here were teachers Edythe Beacom, Ruth Shad- dick,•Dorothy Powell, friends Beth Knox. Elsie Shaddick and Trudy Polland. Margaret Taylor, Beth Knox and Dora Shobbrook attended Wingham W.I.80th anniversary on Thursday, Oct. 21. Mrs. Verbena Bone of Wingham visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Clark. celebrating Mrs. Clark's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Hunking, Dashwood attended church here and dinner with his parents Mr. and Mrs, Lorne Hunking•celebrating Lorne's birthday. A family supper was held on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Penfound and family. Rob, Cathy and Ruth Ann honouring his mother, Olive Penfound on. her 82nd birthday. Present were Elgin, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Penfound, Bruce, Nancy and Kenneth. VAN DIE WALLE: Paul and Maureen are pleased to an- nounce the safe arrival, of their second daughter Lisa Marie on October 16, 1982 weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz., a wee sister for Sarah.
