A social time was held in
the church basement follow•
ing the service. Rev. Mc-
Spadden was born and raised
in the Winthrop area. Earl
McSpadden, a brother, lives
on the McSpadden farm near
Winthrop.

wishers attended the wed•
ding reception for Mr. and
Mrs. Ray McNichol held at
the Brussels Community
Centre following their wed-
ding in Auburn. Music was
enjoyed by the "Country
Companions" and a cold
plate dinner was served by,
the Cavan United Church
Young People.
A stag and doe party was
held for Ray and Linda in.the
Blyth Community Centre a
few weeks before their wed-
ding.

Mr. and Mrs. Pat Altman spent the weekend in
• Kitchener with their daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs.
Robt. Riepert. Also attended the graduation exercises of
their granddaughter Shelley Preston at Cameron Heights
Collegiate, Friday, October 22 at Kitchener.
This past week F.C.J. Sills spent a few days visiting
his daughter Anne and her husband John Mason in
Lansing Michigan. He,also visited with cousins in Saginaw
and Windsor.
