MACGREGOR Mr. and Mrs. Les Adams of Exeter visited re- cently with Mr. and Mrs, Jack Corbett. GORD WRIGHT ENTERTAINS President Mrs. Eileen Rannie presided for the October meeting of the "Three Link Seniors" on Tuesday evening. with Mrs. Myrtle Sherritt at the piano. Treasurer, Mrs. Dorothy Brintnell gave the financial report. The president gave a brief outline of the Rally held at Goderich, and thanked Mrs. Shirray for driving to Goderich and also thanked Bertha MacGregor for arranging the bus trip 'to Cullen Gardens, which all enjoyed. - Bertha MacGregor called on Mrs. William Rogerson who favoured with several piano solos. Gord Wright of Seaforth, Well-known photo- grapher and entertainer, was introduced and showed a presentation of Scotland with it's soft beauty, Robbie"' Burns and -"Peebles" Country of Sir Walter Scott, also John Cairney. Mr. Wright with his Scotch attire and personality won the hearts of his audience. He was thanked by Mrs. Dorothy Brintnell. Refresh-• meats were served by Mr, and Mrs. Carl' Payne, Bertha MacGregor. Mrs. Ruby Bell and Mrs. Eileen Rannie were also on the social Committee 1Jnit two of Hensall United Church Women held their Thanksgiving meeting on Monday, October 11 with 12 members and one guest present. Mrs. Joyce Pepper opened with a poem. "Gratitude". Mrs. Kay Mock gave the devotional on giving thanks for all things that we take for granted, like pure water and air, while Mrs. Mona Alderdice con- ducted the topic. Arrangements were made for the Pot -Luck luncheon for Seniors on November 4. Unit Two still has a few calendars left to sell- get in touch with Joyce Pepper if . you wish one. The Unit also has to get officers for 1983. LADES' AUXILIARY . MAKES DONATIONS Vice-president Joan Beier - ling presided. in the absence of the president, Mrs. Alice Neilands, at the Tuesday evening meeting off the Ladies' Legion Auxiliary. Serving banquets were dis- cussed and the ladies will canvass for the Blind. Donations were voted to the CNIB- $35 and also to Veteran's at Westminister Hospital, London- S200. The Auxiliary Ladies vol. unteered to help the Legion men 'with the bingos. Mem- bers decided to have the "Money Doll" draw again this year. Members will also participate with the men at the November 11 banquet. banquet. Mrs. Alice Neilands, pre sident of the Ladies' Legion Auxiliary and Mrs. Donna Allan, secretary, attended the Convention held at S'ault Ste. Marie recently, GUNNERS IN DRAW The winners in the Ladies' Legion Auxiliary draw on Saturday afternoon were as follows: first prize- a cedar chest, won by Beth Lovell, Kippen; second prize- bed ensemble. Ted Taylor., Hensall; third prize- a cushion. won by Marylin Worthy, London. Proceeds from the sale of tickets will go towards veteran's welfare. Thanks to all participants.'
