With the success in num• hers of the last election year's Candidates Night (or Rate - pavers Meeting) it was de- cided to hold a similar night on October 28 at 8 p'.m., and the Clerk was instructed to advertise accordingly. Discussed in committee -of - the -whole following the board's regular meeting on Oct. 5, the title of the two assistant superintendent s will change to superinten- dents of schools with a salary of 553.096. Presently the assistant superintendents re- ceive a salary of 551.345 N As a result of assistant superintendent Paul Sher- ratt's promotion to directorof education, the board ap- proved establishing a com- mittee to recommend a re- placement to the board. Mr. Sherratt will act as chairman of the committee, with Chair- man Howard Shantz, vice- chairman Barbara Herman and trustees Rev. John An• derson and Ted Loughrey as members.
