Beautiful sunny days, light breezes and cool eve- nings with very little humid- ity and no rain. One might even say it is a glimpse of heaven before you go. The farmers were at their second cut hay and those who had wheat were reaping their harvest. It was truly a plea• sant sight to see big tractors, pulling those wagons heaped with golden grains of wheat on their way to the mill. The sounds of the dryers and machines vs orking at our local mill assure everyone that the agricultural community is in full swing. The barlev will soon be ready also. The Bick's cucumber plant has opened this past week, so now its time for all those cucumber growers to bend over and tickle the pickles.
