NIGH—BENNEWIES
Karen Ann- Bennewies and Brian' Joseph Nigh were
manied in Si. James Church. Seaforth on June 12. 1982.
Re. Fr. C. Caruana officiated at the evening ceremony.
Keith Bennewies of Cambridge and Catherine Bennewies
of Seaforth are parents of the bride and the groom is the son
of Frank and Leona Nigh of R.R. 4 Seaford'. Miss Kathy
Deighton of Kitchener was maid of honour and Miss Joanne
Trapnell of Fort MacKay'. Alberta was bridesmaid.
Flow ergirl was Miss Sandia Dale of Seaforth. Brian Cooper
of Seaforth was groomsmarr and guests were ushered by
Wane Nigh of London and Alan Nigh of R.R. 4 Seaforth.
The wedding,, music was played by organist Maureen
Hutchinson and she accompanied soloist Ralph Wood of
Seaford'. Following a reception and dance at Seaforth
Legion Hall the couple left for a honeymoon in Niagara
Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Nigh are now residing at R.R. 4
Seaforth.
SMOITH=DEVEREAUX
Clare Ruth Devereaux of Seaforth. and Stephen John
Smith of Mitchell. were united in marriage at St. James
Roman Catholic Church. June 19 at 3 p.m. Father Caruana
officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Devereaux. Seafortb and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith. Mitchell.
Jean tarnochan. sister of the bride. was matron of honour.
Bridesmaids were Angela MacLean. sister of the bride, Ida
Stinnissen, friend of the bride and Nanette Smith. sister of
the groinn. The bride was given away by her father.
Groomsman was Bob Whom friend of the groom. Ushers
were Paul Baker, brother-in-law of the groom, Brad Smith.
cousin of the groom and Pat Devereaux, brother of the
bride. Soloists were Karen Melady and Tom Burke.
violinists were Ann Marie and Madonna McQuaid and
organist was Maureen Hutchinson. A reception was held at
Seaforth Legion Hall. Following a wedding trip to the East
Coast. the couple will reside in London.

of Mr. and Mrs. Wan, IL Flanagan were unitedte marriage
at St. Patrick's Church. Dublin. July 17 at 2:30 pm. Father
Carrigan officiated at the double ring ceremony. Teresa
Finlayson. R.R.3 Granton. sister of the bride. was matron of
honour. Bridesmaids were Catherine Flanagan, sister of
the bride. Joan Flanagan. cousin of the bride. Marilyn
Beuerman. sister of the groom. and Donna Van Bakel niece
of the bride. Best man was Gord Koehler. Winnipeg.
Manitoba. Ushers were ...Gary Koehler. London. Ron
Koehler. Vancouver. B.C.. Frank Flanagan. and Bill
Flanagan. both of 005 Mitchell. Ringbearer was Lawrence
Flanagan. nephew of the bride. Music was provided by
Maureen Hutchinson. organist. and soloist Ruth Me-
Creight. Following the service a reception was held at
Brussels Communal; Centre. The couple will reside at

Huronview folk feed birds
Saturday after lunch. a van
load of special care residents
took off for a tour around the
comitry side. Supplied with
bread. they stopped at the
Jervis sanctuary and fed the
birds and animas. This is a
popular spot and some of the
little guys come right up to
the fence waiting for a hand-
out. The folks enjoyed the
outing very much.
Senior Citizens day was
held on Wednesday. July 7
and guests came from
Grand Bend. Attbarn and
Christian Reform. Clinton.
Mary Gibbin,gs extended a
warm greeting to the visitors.
The Huron Strings played
a medley of old time tunes to
everyone's enjoyment and
appeared for other numbers
during the concert. Crystal
Brennan and Crystal Withers
of the Circle City Cuties
pleased the audience as they
did a step:Lance together.
Ken Dale who is no stranger
to Hurrinvie-w accompanying
hitaseff on the guitar sang
two• popular mambas
Sherry Desch who hasn't
been studying the dance for
too long performed a very
nice stepalance. Crystal
Mathers and Crystal Brennan
also danced stepdancinn
numbers.
The monthly meeting of the
resident's council was held
Thursday afternoon in the
boardroom. Several items of
business were discussed and
results were very satisfac-
tory.
Bible Study was also held
with Mrs. Prouty in charge
