Clinton News Record, 2015-02-25, Page 12GODERICH ARENA BINGO - WILL RETURN MARCH 4, 2015 12 News Record • Wednesday, February 25, 2015 A winning month for curling teams at CHSS Central Huron Secondary School (CHSS) curling teams have "rocked" this season. The boys team consisting of Ethan Doig, Sam Steep and Alex and Adam Vincent competed in the Ontario Curling Association (OCA) School boys playdowns for high school teams. They won the zone competition and regional competition to qualify for the provincial championship. The boys competed at Provincials in Woodstock Feb. 12 to Feb 14th 2015. They defeated the team from Gananoque High School in the finals to be the champions. The three CHSS curling teams dominated the Huron County high school compe- tition on Feb. 10 and Feb. 11 in Wingham. The boys team were the champions by defeating St. Anne's, F.E. Madill, GDCI, SHDHS. They lost only one game in the competition. CHSS swept the competition as all three teams advanced to the Huron -Perth high school curling competition. The boys teams were vic- torious at the Huron Perth Competition on Feb. 17 in Wingham. The team, skipped by Ethan Doig, was the gold medalists by defeating LDSS, St. Mikes and CHSS #2 in the competition. The boys team skipped by Ian MacGregor were the silver medalist with a record of 2 - 1. The girls team placed 3rd at the competition with a record of1-2.
