The Clinton Radars were defeated 5-3
at home on Friday night, allowing the
Tillsonburg Thunder to complete a
four game sweep of their first round
playoff series. After scoring once in
the first period, the Thunder grabbed
a 2-0 lead early in the second period.
However, the Radars tied it up with
goals from Alex Avery and Deryk
Whitehead. The two teams both
scored again before the end of the
period to knot the game at 3-3. The
Thunder would score twice in the final
frame to take the win and the series.
As was most of series, it was a closely
contested game. The Thunder's four
wins were all by two goals or less,
including a double -overtime win in
the first game.
