Clinton News Record, 2015-02-11, Page 3Wednesday, February 11, 2015 • News Record 3 Huron -Perth Catholic DSB hosts Applause Breakfast Awards Tara Ostner The Clinton News Record Last Wednesday morning various students from the Huron -Perth Catholic Dis- trict School Board were honoured at a special cere- mony held at the REACH Centre in Clinton. The annual ceremony, entitled the Applause Breakfast Awards, acknowl- edged those students whose actions, for example, in a particular class, in an extracurricular activity or that support fellow stu- dents, make a positive dif- ference in their schools. As Vince MacDonald, the director of education, and Bernard Murray, the chair- person of the board, describe, "The recipients of the Applause Awards are students who come to school each day, give it their best and add to the positive climate of our schools." Faith Wilson - Gr. 7 Kyle Dunn - Gr. 7 FI St. James, Seaforth Leah Partridge - Gr. 5 Owen Stirling - Gr. 6 St. Boniface, Zurich Lucas Ducharme - Gr. 8 Warren Regier - Gr. 8 Precious Blood, Exeter Shailyn Arnold -Foran - Gr. 6 Harrison Bowman - Gr. 8 Our Lady of Mount Car- mel, Dashwood Madison McCann - Gr. 6 Dustin Moses - Gr. 8 Sacred Heart, Wingham Azana John - Gr. 6 McKenna Bross - Gr. 7 Ms. Tara Boreham, the principal at St. Joseph's in Clinton, proudly presents Sarah Gionet, a grade 6 student at St. Joe's, with her certificate. Kylie Nott, a grade 7 student at St. Joe's, also received the honour, however, Kylie was unable to attend the breakfast. Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire Insurance Company NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING The 139th Annual Meeting of the Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire Insurance Company will be held at the Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015 for the presentation of the Annual Report, to elect Directors and to transact any business that may rightly come before the meeting. Nominations will be received for the election of two Directors for a three year term. The Directors whose term of office expires are Jack Hodgert and Larry Gardiner. Jack Hodgert will stand for re-election. Larry Gardiner is retiring from the Board after serving for 26 years as a Director. Article 22: Any person wishing to seek election or re-election as a Director must file his/her intention to stand for election in writing with the President & CEO of the Corporation in person at least thirty days in advance of the Annual Meeting or Special General Meeting called for the purpose of electing Directors.
