Shauna and Amet are pleased
to announce the arrival
of their daughter,
Mayla Patricia Castillejos Hemingway,
born on May 21, 2015 at 11:47am in Ottawa.
Mayla weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and
was named after Grandma "Patricia"
Hemingway of Whys Line, Bayfield.
She was welcomed by
proud sister Alyse, Grandma and Grandpa
(Pat and Dave Hemingway), and uncles Daryl and
Brian, among many other friends and relatives.
She's looking forward to soon meeting her Mexican
Grandpa, aunts, uncles and cousins

The family of the late Orville Storey, wishes

who have offered such kindness, support

Olive Mae Johnston
The family of the late Olive Johnston would
like to thank everyone for their kindness
during the recent loss of our dear
mother. We appreciate our friends and
family who sent flowers, made memorial
donations, cards and food. Special thanks
to Doctor Englert, and all the nurses and
staff at Queensway Nursing Home in
Hensall. We also appreciate very much the
comfort of our Minister, Reverend Randy
Covey. Thank you to Chris Smith, Mark
Rushton, and Michael Falconer at the
Falconer Funeral Home for their care and
compassion at such a difficult time. Thank
you also to the Pallbearers, Paul Taylor,
Adrian and Tyler Dunsmore, Douglas and
Andrew Maguire, Michael Tait, and Flower
Bearer Brett Maguire. We are also most
grateful to the Clinton United Church
Women for the lovely lunch following the
funeral. To so many others who gave us
their sympathy and support, your kindness
was sincerely appreciated and will never be

SLOMAN, Margaret Cela - Margaret
died peacefully, on Saturday, November 21,
2015 at Clinton Public Hospital. She was in
her 84th year. As a professional nanny,
Margaret travelled all over the world caring
for children. She touched so many with her
sweet, kind and enthusiastic nature. The
creative games and outings that she
developed will be among our most
cherished memories of childhood. Margaret
was instrumental in bringing Clintons CNR
School on Wheels to Sloman Park in 1982,
and was a driving force in its restoration as
an Ontario Heritage site. She served on
countless committees and Boards of
Directors, including Klompenfest and the
Clinton Horticultural Society, where she
founded the Junior Gardeners Club. She
was honoured several times by the town of
Clinton for her selfless volunteerism, and in
1983 was awarded the towns "Christmas
Spirit Award" She is survived by her
sisters, Dr. Elizabeth (the late Dr. Donald
Hillman) of St. John's Nfld. and Toby
Rainey of Clinton. She will be missed by
her special friends, Alexandra Ivey of
Toronto, Joyce and Harvey Atchison of
Clinton, many nieces and nephews and by
her cat, Tux. Margaret was predeceased by
her parents, Fred and Cela Sloman, sister,
Joan (Bill Reid) and by her brother, Bill
(June). The date of a Celebration of Life for
Margaret will be announced early in the
new year. Arrangements entrusted to the

HOOK, Stephen - Passed away
suddenly at Victoria Hospital in London on
Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Born in
London, Ontario on April 14, 1942, Stephen
Morgan Hook of Egmondville was in his
74th year. Beloved husband and best friend
of Frances (nee Laithwaite) Hook for 50
years. Loving father of David Hook and
Heather Potvin-Hook and Martha Hook
McGregor and Mark McGregor. Cherished
Grampa of Tyler and Stephanie Hook and
Ellie and Erin McGregor. Fondly
remembered by his siblings -in-law Alan
Hiles of Calgary, Kelly and Mary Cameron
of Sumter, South Carolina, Gordon and
Jean Arblaster of London, and by his
nieces, nephews and many friends.
Predeceased by his parents Stephen
Robert and Eileen (nee Morgan) Hook, and
sisters-in-law Irene Hiles and Violet
MacKenzie. Steve was a chemistry teacher
in Clinton for 3 years and Seaforth for 31
years. He enjoyed a variety of sports:
hockey, baseball, curling, lawn bowling and
especially golf. Visitation was held at
MCGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME,
Seaforth, on Friday, November 27, 2015
from 7-9 p.m. Visitation was also held at St.
Thomas' Anglican Church, Seaforth, on
Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 10 a.m.
until the time of Steve's funeral service at
11 a.m. Rev. Lynn Mitchell officiated and a
reception followed in the church hall.
Interment will take place in the spring at
Egmondville Cemetery. As expressions of
sympathy, memorial donations to the
Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or
St. Thomas' Anglican Church are
appreciated and can be made through
