UCW
All Units of Northside
United Church Women met
at the church Dec. 2 for their
annual Christmas potluck
supper. The tables were
decorated in a Christmas
theme.
After supper the units met
briefly.
New President Margaret
Sallows made several an-
nouncements. The Afternoon
Unit put on a skit entitled
"Gifts that Money Can't
Buy." Those taking part
were Jessie Hillen, Janie
Golding. Evelyn Brown.
Ethel Dennis. Melinda By.
erman. Edith Dunlop and
Nora Codier.
Away In a Manger was.
sung and Margaret Snell
read the scripture. Edna Bell
and Audrey McLlwain sang a
duet.
Helen Wilbee read a
Christmas story interspersed
with several Christmas
hymns.

Tuesday '.as the day we
started decorating the home
for the Christmas season and
as the week progressed there
are decorations and beauti•
fully decorated trees on
every floor
On Wednesday afternoon
the Over 90 Club met on First
North. We appreciate the
volunteers that come in the
first Wednesday of each
month to have the Over 90
Club meeting. Tea and shnrt -
breads were served after
they listened to Elsie Hen-.
derson play the piano
Mrs. Prouty conducted
Bible Study on Thursday
afternoon.
Mass was held in the
Chapel on Friday morning.
We have a lot of good
programming taking place
the month of December and
look forward to next Tuesday
evening When we are having
a pajama party and Earl and
Martha Heywood entertain-
ing. Sunday is Dr. Toll's
special' Community Band
Christmas programme and
on the 17th we will see the
Clinton Women's Institue
when the December Birthday
party will be held. The next
day we'will have our Chist-
mas Party for the Residents
and Seaforth Lions Club will
entertain on the 21st. Mrs.
McDonald will have a pro-
gramtne in the auditorium on
the 28th, so you can see that
it is a busy and full month.
