and talks given by Constable
Gosse of the Ontario Provin-
dal Police When he visited
our school on October 20, 21
and 22nd. He stressed that
vandalism starts out with
simple things like writing on
Walls, littering and petty
thieving.
Each primary grade were
'aken on bus and shown the
danger zones around a bus
and the escape methods in
ease of an accident.

ukelele group made up of the
Huron Centennial school

formed in Toroiito at the
Ontario .Musie Education
Conference on the Saturday,

perform at the Bayfield Uni-

,SPORTS ACTIVITIES
There has been Alot of
sports activity this fall at our
'school, with our athletes
.practicing for both soccer
and cross country.
We hosted the annual
seecer tournament and our
girl's and boy's teams com-
bined to place second against
five other area schools.
At the cross country meet
we again came in second)
Hullett narrowly edging us
out of an overall victory.
Scott Townsend and Dean
Martin were individual win-
ners of their respective
races. ' RoXanne , Martin,
Dean's sisteriplaced third for
the Midget girls, Brian
Gosse and Bill Sinnamori
placed third and -fifth in
Intermediate. Darin McKen-
zie and Geoff Lyon came 2nd ,
and 8th in Jr. Boys, Kathy
Turnbull fourth for Sr. Girls
-and Brad Snider fifth for Sr.
Boys. John Parke Was eight
for Midget Boys. All the
team members really trained
hard in both soccer and cross
country to help make our'
team so successful.
Pre -School Hallowe'en
Party October 29th was a
scene of tiny ghosts, witches
and goblins where Mrs.
Carter greeted them in her
pumpkin outfit,. They hunted
for pumpkins, ghosts and •
black cats. All were reward-
ed with treats. They finished •

Kipfield Calf Club had a
very successful year. At
"Awards Night" held in
Clinton, Nov. 14, Lyle Kins-
man, soa.2f Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Kinsman received the
Toronto -Dominion Seaforth
Branch award for the
Champion All Round Show-
man. Lyle also received the
M'' -ray Gaunt award for
being champion 4-H beef
showman. His brother Bill
Kinsman received his sixth
4-H project certificate. Paul
Hoggarth, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Al Hoggarth received
the Huron Cattleman's As-
sociation award for being the
High Beef Judge at the
judging competition held- in
Seaforth in the spring.
' Mrs. Steve Pine and child-
ren. Brampton. visited re-
cently with Mrs. E. McBride.
A shower was held at the
home of Mrs. Grant Jones for
Doreen Van Wieren on Fri-
day Nov. 14. Mrs. Jones
entertained he neighbours
and friends with contests.
Gifts were presented by
Chrystal Jones and the ladies
%ere thanked by Doreen.
Fowl supper put on by
kippen U.C.W. on Nov. 12
was a great success.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Kerr
spent a few days in Michigan
last week.
Irvine Ferris had a very
successful sale on Nov. 15.
Ron Denys purchased the
