Wednesday evening, in the
church basement in the
'Thanksgiving atmosphere.
Devotions were led by Mrs.
Gerald Watsnn. .mn,
"Come, ye thankful people,
Come," was sung, Mrs. Ray
Heuther was pianist, assist-
ing in a song from the
tegionat meeting enlitled
"God is so Good," Mrs.
Watson read the scripture
from Psalm 107 & 148
followed by meditation on
Thanks. "We plough the
'fields and scatter wis sung
offered prayer, Mrs. Nelson
Reid gave a report of the
Regional meeting that was
held in Bayfield on Monday
night, next fall the meeting is
to be held at Walton, Mrs,
Reid followed with readings
on the people of Urguay,
stressing how we should be
thankful we can go to our
homes, and live in a settled
country. They need the sup-
port of the Christians around
the world.
Mrs. Alex Gulutzen pre-
sided for the business read-
ing a Thanksgiving Poem.
Minutes Were read hy Mrs,,
Howard Hackwell. 22 ladies
answered the roll cell. Thank
you card was read from Joyce
(IY1cCallunt) Hartman. Mrs.'
Dorothy Sholdice gave the
treasurer's report and took
iup the offering, dedicated by
Ms Tu1unThe Bale, articles are to be
in by,October 19th and will
be packed Monday. On Stin-
day November 2, the U.C;W.
will take part in the morning
church service.
There was discussions on
the coming Turkey Supper on
November ' 5. Lunch was
served bv Mrs. Ron Bennett,

Bounty at Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving service was
largely attended. The church
was decorated by Explorers
and Y.P. with an abundance
of produce of corn, fruit and
vegetables that was har-
vested.
Welcoming were Margaret
Taylor and Lorne Hunking;
ushers were Garry Wilts,
John Cartwright, Robbie and
Michael Radford.
The children's time was
"Thanksgiving". We give
thanks everyday, not just
"Thanksgiving time". Jun-
ior teachers were Beverly
Riley and Sally Pollard. The
message was Thanks for the
Good, the glad. Next Sunday
October 19 at 11 a.m. Anni-
versary seryice at 8 p.m. will
include an Anniversary mu-
sical.
On October 9, the Explor-
ers met in the church base-
ment. Cheryl Hulley and Lori
Livermore explained the em-
blem. The picture was shown
by Deanna Lyon. Mrs_ Hog-
gart announced they were
helping the young people
decorate the church for
Thanksgiving.
Mrs Whyte read a story
and led in discussion. For
crafts, a tiny bouquet with a
bow was made.

BOOSTERS AT HULLETT
On Thursday, Septem-
ber 23rd, the Huron County
Health Unit gave out consent
forms for a booster shot. The
booster provides immuni-
zation against red measles,
' mumps and rubella (german
measles).
The Grade 7 & 8 classes
went to the International
Plowing Match at Woodstock
on W4d. Oct. I. They saw
steam engines and also how
plowing was done long ago.
They saw many kinds of farm
equipment. The classes were
given time to go to the
midway or just to look
