GRADE SIX VISITS THE
FAIR
. On Thursday, September
41 the grade six class went to
the Western Fair. They were
given sheets on wffich they
were to answer auestions on

different schools in Kent
Counfy and taught each class
a half an hour of music each

SOCCER
Soccer practice has begun
at Hallett school once more
and as usual there's much
anxiety. There will be a
tournament held at
Brucefield on October 7, and

the other schools with both

CROSS-COUNTRY
All cross:country runners

Cross-country meet will be
held sometime later in
October when members of
our school team of runners
will compete against other
schools.
HULETT SCHOOL BAND
The hand has a new lender
this year, Mrs. Supeene.
There are nearly forty
members in the band.
Practices are Monday
mornings, Tuesdays after
school, Thursday mornings,
and Fridays at noon. The
band is composed of flutes,
clarinets. trumpets, drums,
saxophones, tubas,
trombones, F1 ench horns.
and, baritones.

pews at Northside United Church as Cheryl Dale, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dale and Doug Phillips, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Angelo Phillips exchanged marriage vows on
Saturday August 16. Reverend T. A. Duke officiated at the
ceremony. Joan McVicar, Hanover was the Maid of
Honour with Kathy Hoegy, Dublin, sister of the bride and
Jane Muegge, London as bridesmaids. Shannon Snell,
Blyth. niece .of the bride was the junior bridesmaid. The
best man was Jim Phillips. Toronto. brother of the groom
and the guests were ushered by Gary Koehler, London ad
Ken Swan, Egmondville. Providing music for the
ceremony were the "Snell Family Singers" of Clinton.
Following the wedding a reception was held at Seaforth
Legion Hall. Rex Johnston, Goderich was the Master of
Ceremonies. The couple will be residing in Egmondville.
