out the entire evening, as
over 50 riders competed for
points and ribbons. The
highlight of the night was
when John Maaskant of
Clinton went out of control.
after going over the double
jump and landed in the pond.
Neither he nor his bike were
hurt and it brought much
laughter to the whole crowd.

Club held a successful
tournament last Wednesday,.
the 51st anniversary of the
club. A full entry was on
hand with every green filled.
In first place was the rink
of Jack and Jane Treleaven,
Lucknow, 3W+48,8; second,
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kelly,
Sarnia, 3W+47; Third Mr.
and Mrs.. Howard Wilson,
Woodstock, 3W+46; .fourth
Mr. • and Mrs. Forbes,
Thamesford, 3W + 44; ,sixth,
Terry Gardiner and Mrs.
Helen Gardiner, Wingham,
3W+ 39; Seventh,
Evelyn Dundas, Thamesford,

Rinks attended from
Burlington, Kitchener,
London, Owen Sound, New
Hamburg, Ingersoll and
other locations. The greens
were excellent and the
weather also ideal.
The winning tickets on a
hand made quilt and luggage
were drawn by our two
charter members. Mrs. Ida
Close and Lorne Dale.
Winner of the quilt was
Bruce Brady Bayfield and thc
luggage won by Mrs. Danny
Muir of Stratford.
Clare Reith, President of
the Men's Club. gave words
of welcome to each draw and
thanked everyone who
participated in making the
day a success. Draw master's
were Mel Brady, Seaforth
and Watler Westbrook of
Mitchell. Giving out the
prizes were Mrs. Eileen
. Adamson and Clare Reith.
A special thank you is sent
to all members who donated
prizes. Mrs. Esther Brady
and Mrs. Grace Pepper were
in charge of the food for the
day.
In the Senior Citizens
Men's New Horizons the
Seaforth rink of Mel Brady,
Cliff Broadfoot and Clare
Reith lost out in a close game
at Stratford lait Friday.
Stratford's entry will now
advance to . the finals in
..Toronto-- .

competed in the Bradshaw
Tournament ladies doubles
in Stratford and the two
entries hope to go to ladies
trebles in Sarnia Friday.
A number of men are
competing in mens doubles
at Mitchell on Wednesday
while on Saturday they will
also be competing. in
Walkerton M & M.
The Ladies hope to bowl
for the _McLean trophy _scion
and on Labour Day a "good-,
entry is expected at the
annual watch tournament.
The Junior Farmers have
requested to bowl some
evening soon. so Good

an even game all the way
through. Patti Ann Gridzak
and Dianne McGrath hit
triples for Scotts, but Mc-
Nichol's came back with
Judy Scarrow, and Shirley
Van Loon, and Linda Gridzak
with doubles. Bev Eisler and
Joan Woods had triples.
McNichol came out the vic-
tors 16 - 14.

LATE GAME
The late game was Browns vs
Duncan Emms. Duncan
Emms won. Two teams tied
for third place at the end of
the season. Commercial and

was played on August 13
with Commercial the win-
ners.
Ken Smith won. 11. tied 1
and lost 3 games out of 15
games. The girls worked
hard and had a well desired
win with a total of 23 points.
The first playoff game was
played. on August 19 with
Scotts vs Duncan Emms at
the high school. Duncan
