This Wednesday is the Walton Women's
Institute monthly noon luncheon. The com-
mittee have,planned to have turkey ready
to serve by 11:30 a.m. in the hall basement
with a fruit eup for dessert.
The Education and Cultural affairs
meeting .will be held in the evening on
May 16, with guest speaker Gary Jewitt
telling of his recent trip. The 4-H Girls be
present and are having a bake sale of ar-
ticles they learned how to make in the ie -
cent club. Anyone is welcome at 8:15 pap.
GARAGE & BAKE SALE
The Walton and Area -Sports Club held
their garage and Bake Sale on Saturdayin
the hall basement. Although the *.abk s;
didn't have • as many articles for the
garage sale, it was a busy spot at the bake
table. The committee thank everyone that
brought' baking and attended to help out
for them to carry on.
SURPRISE VISIT
On Saturday Betty Ireland of Huntsville
and sister Kathy Carter of Toronto dropped
in at the home of Betty and Allan McCall.
It was sure a surprise to see them, but
they had a nice visit. They were former
neighbors bf Betty when living on the
fourth line of Morris with her parents!
They were visiting other acquaintances iu
the area that day, and also visited with
Bev Stevenson and Chris at the McCall
home.
Nurse's week
Seaforth Community. Hospital honoured
two of its nurses for Nurse's Week May 11.
Lynne Davies, medical surgery and
emergency room nurse, was voted the
most appreciated team member by thp
other. nurses. She received registration fees
to a community college in a nurse or
health care course for the fiscal year
1990-91.
