CREATIVE FUNDRAISING - "BOOSTING YOUR BUCKS.'' This workshop will be
held on Wednesday, June 6, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Seaforth and District Conj-
munity Centres. Admission fee is $5.00 per person.

Farm managers
can go to school
The Ontario Department of Agricultural
Economics and Business at the University
of Guelph, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture
and Food, and the Ontario Agricultural
Training Institute are sponsoring a "Farm
Personnel Management School".
This is a two day professional develop-
ment course, scheduled for July 4th and
5th, 1990 at the Elm Hurst Inn, Ingersoll,
Ontario for farm managers. The course
will examine the principles related to
agricultural personnel management. The
purpose is to provide farm operators with
up-to-date information on how to attract,
keep .and motivate farm employees.
Special features of the two day workshop
will include: practical content, intensive
sessions, and relevant agricultural labour
examples.
The course instructors, Wayne Howard
and Ken McEwan, are both well versed in
farm personnel management. Wayne
Howard currently teaches undergraduate
and graduate courses in farm management
at the University of Guelph. He has con-
sulted with Employment and Immigration
on agricultural labour issues. Kenneth
McEwan, a Farm Management Specialist
with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture
and Food, has taken several courses in
personnel management.
