TRFFS FOB SEAFORTH
Paul Vandermolen, owner of the
Lawnmaster landscapes company,. the town's current tree planting pro-
gram He said'Seaforth can, expand its pro-
gram and should plant Caolinian and in-
digeato_u_s_ trees... Ile..suggested::.the town
plant trees around the lagoon areas and
the dump. Vandermolen said the trees
would bring in money for Seaforth when
they were old enough to have to be cut in-
to wood cores or tendered for chips. The
town could raise money for the trees with
programs such as Adopt a Tree whereby
the tree is paid by the town and the
landowner.
Vandermolen pointed out that the Huron
tract was denuded of its trees in eight
years and now we are realizing the value
of those trees. He said the trees must be
replanted and the new trees should be
large enough to resist being snapped by
wind or vandals.
ZONING BYLAW
The town received an application to
amend the Official Plan and zoning by-law
from Donald and William Munn who wish
to develope 12 residential lots on their pro-
perty, Munn's Bush, at the northerly end
of West Street. A public meeting will be
held Monday June 18 to change the land
from "open space" to "residential".
TAX PROGRAM INSTALLED
As of April 17 the town has an Auto -
Administrator Tax Program which wall,
once a month, automatically print out
reminder notices for all properties in ar-
rears. It also will allow the town to
calculate, levy and print its own tax
notices.
