This action is being taken due to the growing noise and rowdyism problems that have been experienced on long weekends, particularly Victoria Day, over the past several years. "It was felt that the ban was the only way that the usually tranquil, family oriented atmosphere of this campground could be maintained on the Victoria Day weekend," said Ken Westman, MVCA General Manager. The 100 -acre park, located along the Maitland River at Benmiller, is visited by about 25,000 campers and 12,000 day users annually. The Falls Reserve has 150 camp- sites and group camping facilities. Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police will be on hand to help park staff enforce the ban. Campers entering the park will be asked to turn over any alcohol they have in their possession, to be return- ed when they leave the park.
