District annual.delegates to the meeting
at Fordwich on May 8 are Berva Watson
and Ruth Asttrtann. Registration is 9;30
A.M., and lunch is provided. It was mov-
ed to cater .a meal for Fordwich bus load
going to the Blyth Festival on June 13.
An invitation was received from the
Blyth W.L. meeting . on May 3rd to
celebrate their .80th A sniversary, and
several members • plan to attend.
The.iineeting on May 16 will have the 4-11
girls Club attend. They plan to have bak-
ed goods for sale that they learned to
make their last club. Extra Institute
members offered to go on the lunch
ceirmittee.
The annual meeting followed with last
year's minutes and financial report review-
ed. The Auditors report was given by Viola
Kirkby. Perfect attendance for the past
year was set by Ruth Axtmann, Viola
Kirkby and Betty McCall. Margaret Craig
read the annual branch program report in.
the absence of co-ordinator, Helen Craig,
and then read the curator's report written
by Jeanne • Kirkby in the Tweedsmuir
History Book.
Lois Hart installed the new officers and
Margaret Mcinroy presented Lois with a
gift. New motions were moved and passed
for the coming year. Marion gave a sum-
mary of her Iasi two years in office as
president, and thanked everyone for help-
ing her with their busy schedule. Margaret
Mth roy presented Marion with a gift of

WALTON AREA SPORTS MEET
The Walton Area Sports committee held
their April meeting. The annual garage
sale and bake table is planned for May 12
at the hall. The committee would ap-
preciate baking from families of the ball
players or any donations for the garage
sale. Tickets are now on sale for a cash
draw m July and are available from any
of the committee members.
DUFF'S NEWS
Harvey and Margaret Craig were
greeters Sunday morning at Duff's United
Church, Rev. Bonnie Cole Arnal officiating.
The offering was •received by Ross Bennett
and Lavern Godkin. The Junior Choir will
meet on Thurs. April 26.
The office board meeting for this month
was held at the hone of Ron and Betty
McCallum on Sunday evening.
On Saturday, the basement of the church
was a busy place with tea tables prettily
decorated with cloths and daffodils, baking '
