Young Charlie Brown went off to ool
lege, and being rather an extravagant
youth, 4peedily became bard up, and
had to deposit several of his garments
with an accommodating "uncle." Just
before the close of the session his father
sent a remittance, and Charlie got his
garments back again, packed up and
went home. Unfortunately, however,
he forgot to take the pawn tickets off.
"Why, lay dear," said his mother, while
unpacking his bag, "what's this ourious
ticket attached to your coat?" "Oh,
that!" cried Charlie, equal to the oe•
casion. I was at a dance at the °limp -
sons', and that is the ticket they put on
my overcoat in the ante -room." Mamma
went on with her utpacking, and pre-
sently came upon another similarly de-
corated. "Bet, Charlie" she said, "sure-
ly you did not leave these in the auto -
room, too?" and then Charlie saw that
the game was up.
