Hannah Arnold of Lucan poses on her mini modified tractor "Irish
Thunder". Garden tractor pulling has been a family event for
approximately 20 years. Hannah's 21 -yr -old sister Jessica has been
competing for 2 years and will also be competing at Ripley Fair on
September 25. Hannah is 16 and has been competing for 4 years.
She will be going to Kentucky in November to compete, as well.
One of the comptetitors in the mini modifieds
demonstration pulls takes a turn under the lights at the
Ripley Fall Fair Tractor Pull September 25.

The Sweiger family of Wingham are serious about their tractors. Waiting for
the tractor pull to begin on September 25 at the Ripley Fall Fair were from left:
Brooklyn Sweiger on "The Wicked Sister", EmmitAtton (Zack's best friend)
on "Zack's Old Red", Zachary Sweiger on "Not quite but that's alright", father
of the group Cam Sweiger on "Weekend Addiction" and Victoria Sweiger on
"Tractors B4 Boys". Twins 15 -yr -old Brooklyn and Victoria have been competing
for 2 years while 10 -yr -old Zachary has been competing for 5 years.
Lining up for the 650 pound class in the Ripley Tractor Pull on September 25 are
from left in front: Brodie Miller of Ariss, Anne Brough of Bluevale, Zack Sweiger of
Wingham. Beginning the lineup for the 800 pound class is Jack Hayter of Clinton.

Albert Rooseboom of Hensall weighs in his tractor "I Think I Can". He will
compete in both the 1,000 and 1,250 stock classes.
Friday night at the Ripley Fall Fair

The Friday evening of the Ripley
Fall Fair that was held September
25 and 26, 2015 held lots of fun for
everyone.
The tractor pull started at 7 p.m.
with competitors from near and far.
Many of the competitors come
from families who make this a fam-
ily sport.
The frog jumping contest was
well attended with various sizes
and species of frogs represented.
The Variety Night included music
by Maggie Durnin, The Prince and
Princess competition won by Wil-
liam Falconer and Madison Chilton,
as well as the Ambassador contest
won by Marley Martyn.
The pie and cake auction was
lively and successfully raised
$2,575 to be donated to the Ripley -
Huron Community School grade
seven trip to the Royal Fair.
