Lucknow Little Mudder 2015

Saturday morning dawned
bright and cold, and very,
very muddy.
The third annual Lucknow
Little Mudder was held on
Saturday, September 12.
This was the first year for
the Mini Mudder, in which
over 80 children aged 6-13
were able to run the obstacle
course portion of the event.
Many of these young, muddy
runners chose to run a "Vic-
tory Lap'; in which they went
through the whole route a
second time.
There were 253 adult run-
ners pre -registered for the
Lucknow Little Mudder, and
another 30 entered that
morning. In 2013, 117 adults
ran, and in 2014 there were
222, so with this year's addi-
tional 80 child participants
included, this was by far
Lucknow Little Mudder's
most successful year!
The event involves a run
down the train tracks - all
while navigating obstacles -
a dip in the Nine Mile River,
a dash through the trees,
then a journey through an
obstacle course on the Luc -
know Soccer Fields, includ-
ing climbing over pyramids
of straw bales, crawling
through tunnels, and sliding
down a giant Slip and Slide
on the hill.
In the past two years,
the Lucknow Little Mud -
der has raised a combined
total of over $10,000 for
the Lucknow Agricultural
Society. This year in
excess of $8000 was
raised. These proceeds go
to Agricultural Society
projects, including the
midway for the Lucknow
Fall Fair, and the new
shed. The Lucknow Little
Mudder is proud to raise
money and attention for
the Lucknow Agricultural
Society.
Heartfelt thanks go out to
those involved in the Luc -
know Little Mudder, to
every volunteer, sponsor,
and supporter, your help
and support was instrumen-
tal in another successful
event.
