Feeley as directors wel-
comed ten members and
two guests with dessert, tea
and coffee at the Lucknow
Town Hall.
Joan Murray introduced
our special guests Ken and
Nancy Craig who presented
a very informative talk with
pictures of their time spent
in Haiti with Haitian Chris-
tian Ministries. They, along
with their family were part of
a program called Welcome
Haiti where they built
schools and sponsored chil-
dren with food, school sup-
plies, vitamins and immuni-
zations. Gladys Johnston
thanked the speakers for a
very interesting talk. The roll
call provided them with
school supplies, sewing
materials and flip flops to
take on their next mission
trip.
Erlma Jean Haldenby read
the poem "Indian Summer"
followed by the reading of
the minutes from last meet-
ing. Gladys gave the finan-
cial report and correspond-
ence dealt with members
who planned to attend the
Area Convention and Fall
Rally. The By -Laws of the
Grey -Bruce Area were read
and discussed. Gladys' cater-
ing group will do the Lion's
meal on October 26. Fall Fair
display was dealt with and
plans for next meeting on
October 15 at the home of
Gladys.
Irene conducted an inter-
esting program on Agricul-
ture topics in the form of
readings, jokes and a contest
which was won by Alice
Doelman.
Marg Stanley gave the
courtesy remarks and the
meeting was closed by sing-
ing "0 Canada".

The fifth meeting of the
Wawanosh "Proud Pollina-
tors" was held on September
3, 2015 at the Auburn Hall at
6:45 p.m. The meeting began
with an activity of judging
sandwich tomatoes. When
all the members arrived,
Gayle started the meeting
with the 4-H pledge. She
then led Roll Call, which was
"If there were no pollinators,
which food would you miss
the most?" There were a vari-
ety of answers including;
watermelon, strawberries,
and blueberries. Secretary,
Hillary then read the min-
utes of meeting 4.
Next members were split
up into 3 groups to make
Granola, Oatmeal PB
Scotchies, and Bran Honey
Muffins. All these recipes
included honey. We then
worked on our books. Next
Leader Marita Oudshoorn
handed out a pamphlet
about honey and Leader
Mary Ellen showed the

members a video about the
entire process of making
honey. Mary Ellen also went
through a small slideshow
about bees. We also received
another pamphlet about bee
pollination.
Finally, we wrapped up
the meeting with giving
our reasons for judging the
tomatoes. We closed the
meeting with the song
"There was a Bear". We
then got to try out our
recipes.
Meeting 6 of the
Wawanosh Proud Pollina-
tors was held on Thursday,
September 4 at 8 p.m. fol-
lowing Meeting 5. Gayle
opened the meeting with
the motto. Mary Ellen dis-
cussed achievement with
the members and it was
decided that they would go
to the Butterfly Conserva-
tory on September 12 at 1
p.m. It was also decided
that the members' books
would be due on Sep-
tember 20.
Members then read aloud
from their project manuals
about the threats that polli-
nators face and all had to
come up with three solu-
tions to prevent these
threats from killing

South Kinloss WMS
The South Kinloss WMS
ladies met in the church base-
ment on September 2 at 7 p.m.
This is the first fall meeting
with Kathy Howald being the
hostess and the directors being
Kathy and Donna Sutton.
President Kathy opened
the meeting with a reading
"Hands". Then we said the
WMS Purpose in unison.
Marilyn Maclntyre read
the June Meeting. Margaret
Hamilton read the treasurer
report and Donna Sutton
gave the Ladies Aid report.
Nine members answered
the Roll Call, "Name a Mis-
sionary Family." We had a
study in August "Glad
Tidings" entitled "Women,
an Introduction - in Canada
and of the World':
Bible Study was read from
Ecclesiastes 2:14-26.
Leda White read the offer-
tory prayer and Donna Sut-
ton said the Closing Prayer.
Delicious lunch was
served to close the evening.

On a very hot Labour day
the club gathered on the
greens for the traditional
tournament and pot lunch
dinner with members and
friends.
Our club is small but with
the help of the Kinsmen and
local sponsors, the Legion,
RVilla , McKenzie and
McCreath, Lucknow Co-op
and the Bank of Montreal,
we were again able to keep
our club going and intro-
duce lawn bowling to the
students of Lucknow public
school and our new mem-
bers this year.
Our thanks to all that
made this year possible.
