Wingham Market held an Arts and
Food day on Wednesday, September
9, 2015 with special guests. Spencer
Vail of Goderich, also known as Chef
Extraordinaire, demonstrates how to
prepare and cook various varieties of local
produce for market -goers to try.
Gaye Datema sells flowers grown on her
farm just off Currie Line at markets in
Wingham, Brussels and Goderich. Her
Westsinge Farm Flowers booth was one of
the vendor booths at Wingham Market on
September 9, 2015.
Members of the Wingham Art Group
worked on their projects and spoke with
attendees at the Wingham Market on

Wingham Art Group members Cyndy Dore
and Lois Huyder were assisting those who
wanted to try their hand at the technique
of pouring paint, then tilting the paper to
make designs. Julia giggled when she saw
her completed artwork, which she is titled
"Rainbow Squiggles".

by John Giesbrecht of J & M Produce of
Brussels. It Giesbrecht's first day back at
the market this fall as his son Peter had
been running the booth.
Cat O'Donnell owns and operates Wonky
Frog Studio in Blyth. She specializes
in natural semi precious healing stone
custom jewelry, as well as carrying other
local artisan pieces. O'Donnell enjoys
the opportunity to listen to Spencer Vail
of Goderich as he demonstrates cooking
fresh produce at the Wingham Market Art
and Food day on September 9, 2015. She,
as well as other vendors and market -goers
were delighted to taste Vail's creations.

on Wednesday, Septem-
ber 9 as part of the Art
and Food day. The Wing -
ham Market runs every
Wednesday from 3:30 to
6:30 p.m. across from
Foodland, one block east
of Josephine Street.
The Wingham Art
Group were giving dem-
onstrations of their art
materials and techniques
in their booth at the mar-
ket. This group was
begun about 20 years ago
by Dorothy Cruickshank
who was originally from
Belgrave and now is a
resident of Sepoy Manor
in Lucknow and is still
involved in art group
activities. Lary Linsday of
Lucknow and Cathy
Picon of Wingham
brought works they had
painted, as well as some
that were still in unfin-
ished state, to give mar-
ket -goers the opportunity
to ask questions and see
artists at work.
