Valerie Gillies Lucknow Sentinel
Entrance to Lucknow's Music in the Fields was well organized and efficient. Many attendees throughout the 2 -day event expressed
their wish to complement the Lucknow Kinsmen and all of their helpers and volunteers on being so professional in running such a
large festival.
Representatives from TicketScene, marketing and ticketing
partners with Lucknow's Music in the Fields, engaged the crowd
throughout the festival by providing the opportunity to compete
for prizes in a game of volley pang. Several targets were placed
at each end of the area. The teams of 2 or more took turns
throwing volleyballs into the targets, which were removed one by
one as a successful throw sunk a ball into it. On Friday, August
28, TicketScene representatives, seen on the left in white shirts,
are Nicole Stoyles and Lauren Hummel.

The guitar was kept back-
stage during the festival and
was signed by every artist
who performed. All pro-
ceeds from this fundraiser go
to the Cystic Fibrosis Foun-
dation. The draw took place
on the evening of Saturday,
August 29 with the winner
being Laurie McCauly.
In an effort to support
local youth, there was again
the 50/50 draw to raise funds
for Lucknow Central Public
School library and music
programs. This year there
was $729.50 raised for the
school, with the same
amount going to the winner
of the draw, Kim Phillips of
Wingham.
Congratulations to the
Lucknow Kinsmen and all
those who were involved in
carrying out all the tasks and
services it takes to plan, host
and clean up this size of a fes-
tival. From all accounts in so
far, this has been an amaz-
ingly successful Lucknow
Music in the Fields in 2015.
Watch future editions of the
Sentinel to learn where the
funds raised by the event will
be used to help Lucknow and
the surrounding area.
