Master of Ceremonies Johnny Guardhouse (right) introduces Daniel Clarke who custom built the $4000 Cithara electric guitar that
was donated by his Hamilton company to be raffled off at Lucknow's Music in the Fields with all proceeds going to Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation. The draw was made in the evening on Saturday, August 29. Laurie McCauly won the guitar that had been kept backstage
and signed by every artist who had performed during the 2015 festival.

The Sepoy Salloon Show-
down brought the winner and
runner-up to the Sepoy
Emerging Artists stage again
this year. The winning artist
was Vanessa Marie Carter
who rocked the stage with her
amazing voice to the delight of
the crowd. The runner-up was
Eric Ethridge who, along with
his band members, threw a lot
of energy into their perfor-
mance, although there were a
few sound glitches with feed-
back that were eventually
worked out.
There were some in the
crowd who gave feedback that,
although they understand that
the volume of the main stage is
intentionally loud to carry
through the festival, the bass
may have been up more than it
should have been. Anyone
standing near the stage could
feel their chest compress with
each beat. Those further back
could also feel the vibration of
the bass more than in past
years with reportedly some
feeling discomfort in their
chairs from the ongoing jolts.
Perhaps this is something to
consider in future events.
There were many smaller
events and contests going on
within the overall music fes-
tival. The largest fundraiser
at this year's festival was a
raffle draw for a custom-
built Cithara electric guitar
valued at $4,000.
