Marriage Commissioner Position
The Township of Huron -Kinloss is recruiting one Marriage Commissioner. A Marriage
Commissioner is a Clerk Designate appointed to solemnize the marriage of two people in
Ontario in a civil wedding ceremony. They conduct marriages in a secular manner with no
reference to religion.
The successful applicant will be
• comfortable speaking in public;
• willing to invest many Saturdays, during June, July, August and September, as well as
other times, including meeting with couples to plan the ceremony and for a rehearsal;
• flexible regarding time and place of ceremony, within reason;
• knowledgeable of the Marriage Act.

a procedural by-law for governing the calling, place and proceedings of meetings,

Public Works Operator
The Township of Huron -Kinloss is seeking a qualified person for the position of Public
Works Operator.
This position is 40 hours per week and the successful applicant will assist in the operation of
all Public Works services.
Applicant must possess the following:
• Valid AZ licence or minimum DZ with ability to obtain AZ within 6 weeks
• Results oriented
• Able to operate and maintain a variety of equipment to construct roads and maintain
the services provided by the Public Works Department
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Good communication and organization skills
