CGIT celebrates 100th Anniversary in Lucknow

The Canadian Girls in
Training (CGIT) held a gath-
ering in the Lucknow United
Church for former leaders
and members in the area to
celebrate the 100th Anniver-
sary of the organization.
The members in attend-
ance who were over 85 years
old were honoured with pins
and were invited to do the cer-
emonial cutting of the cake.
There were nine members
who were honoured at the
October 17, 2015 celebration.
Margaret Mowbray is 101
years old and lives at Pinecrest
Manor in Lucknow. She was
unable to attend as she had a
previous engagement.
Anne Anderson lives at
R -Villa in Ripley. She attended
CGIT in Saskatchewan.
Margaret Finlay is a resi-
dent of Lucknow and
attended CGIT in Gorrie.
Margaret Ferguson lives at
R -Villa in Ripley. She
attended CGIT in Ripley.
Ruth Pritchard is a Luc -
know resident, which is also
where she attended CGIT.
Marian Zinn lives at Sepoy
Manor in Lucknow and
attended in Lucknow.
Betty Audet lives in Palm-
erston and attended CGIT in
Hamilton.
Jean Meisenheirer cur-
rently lives in Port Elgin, but
attended CGIT in Thunder
Bay when it was still called
Fort William.
Mildred Griffith was a CGIT
member in Wiarton and later
became a leader in Bervie
where she now resides.
