Valedictorian for the F. E. Madill Commencement was Lauren Thompson. The 2014/15 statistics for the school were 267 Madill Scholars, 57 Ontario Schol- ars, 134 Diplomas/Certifi- cates, 19 Red Seal diplomas, 19 Big M's and approxi- mately $33,465 in Com- mencement Awards presented. Lucknow area students who earned awards Jessica Atckinson was awarded the Heather Pegg Memorial Award. Stuart Cameron was awarded Personal and Fit- ness Activities, Biology, W. S. Hall Memorial Scholar- ship (highest standing in 4U sciences), Michelle Andrew Memorial Scholarship, Luc - know and District Lions Club Scholarship and McKen- zie Education Endowment. Hannah Dickie was awarded Dungannon Super Pull Bursary and Madill Stu- dent Council Award. Chris Edgar was awarded the Madill Teaching Staff Award. Ashley Forster was awarded the Jean McE- wen Memorial Scholarship. Natalie Irwin was awarded Data Management, Com- munications Technology, Matthew Dinning Memo- rial Award, Madill Student Council Award and Madill Student Trustee/Senator. Laura Jakobsen was awarded the George Ander- son Endowment Award. Mark Metcalfe was awarded Glen Hodgins Memorial Award and Wightman Fam- ily Bursary for the Advance- ment of Technology. Murray Montgomery was awarded George Ander- son Endowment Award. Emma Murray was awarded the William F. MacDonald Award. Megan Pennington was awarded the Madill Stu- dent Council Award. Ocean Poels was awarded Foundations for Col- lege Mathematics Jessyca Scott was awarded Chemistry. Brayden Smyth was awarded the MacKenzie Scholarship. Shania Squires was awarded the Jacor Marketing Award for Student Equality. Dylan Ulrich was awarded Mathematics for Col- lege Technology Awards presented by Lucknow and area sponsors George Anderson Endow- ment Award for exceptional commitment to the Luc - know community through volunteer service was pre- sented to Laura Jakobsen and Murray Montgomery. HAWK Theatre Award which recognizes a gradu- ate who has been heavily involved in Madill's perfor- mance or drama, or during assemblies, but not neces- sarily on state, was pre- sented to Jacob Holthuysen. Lucknow and District Lions Club Scholarship in Mem- ory of Dr. Mel Corrin awarded to a student demonstrat- ing high achievement in the graduating year who resides in Lucknow or area and has expressed an interest in post- secondary studies in the health sciences field was pre- sented to Stuart Cameron. William F. MacDonald Award for a student from Kinloss or Huron Township or the vil- lage of Lucknow who has demonstrated good character and is proceeding to a post- secondary institution was awarded to Emma Murray. Doris MacKenzie Scholar- ship awarded to a gradu- ating student from the for- mer Luknow Highschool area who has preferably special- ized in the business area and is proceeding to fur- ther education was pre- sented to Brayden Smith. McKenzie Education Endow- ment Trust Fund recog- nizes a worthy graduate who resides in the Village of Lucknow or the Town- ships of Culross, Kinloss, Huron, East Wawanosh, West Wawanosh or Ashfield was presented to Stuart Cameron.
