Services serves over 600 women
each year across Huron County, and
provides emergency shelter, hous-

facing women in our county today.

support ending violence against
women and children in Ontario.

Where else but at the Point Clark Halloween jamboree could you ever see a
clown entertained by Elvis singing Monster Mash helped by his long -faced
backup singer? This is exactly what happened on October 29, 2015. More
photos on page 11.
Spooky jamboree at Point Clark
Valerie Gillies
Lucknow Sentinel
Founder of the Point Clark com-
munity jamboree challenged all
musicians and those in the audi-
ence to come to the October 29,
2015 jamboree in Halloween cos-
tume. It is a tribute to Robert Gal-
lant that so many people showed
their love by doing that just for him.
It is always an enjoyable evening
at the biweekly jamborees at the
Point Clark Community Centre,
but there was more fun
and mayhem than usual on this
particular night.
There were 14 musicians to
entertain the crowd with a mix of
country, pop and themed songs.
Elvis performed many of his own
hits, as well as that Halloween
favourite, Monster Mash, along
with his seaworthy little buddy.
Many musicians were dressed in
their western wear to play their tra-
ditional tunes. A tacky tourist got
the crowd going with his rendition
of House of the Rising Sun and
Love Potion # Nine. There was a
clown who chose to recite, rather
than sing, a poem about those who
are regulars at the Point Clark jams.
A couple of witches and a black cat
were also present to add their
own pieces.
Altogether, it was a night of sur-
prises, laughs and good clean fun
and great music with the added
bonus of treats.
