The wait is over. The
lineup for the 7th annual
"Lucknow's Music in the
Fields" is being revealed.
The Lucknow and District
Kinsmen Club, their produc-
ers and committee have
been working hard since
September to put in place
yet another outstanding
lineup for the 2015 festival
set to take place August 28
and 29 at the soccer fields in
Lucknow. The artist sched-
ule was announced Tuesday,
February 24.
There are two great inter-
national acts headlining this
year's event. Friday night's
headliner with be Dallas
Smith. Smith is one of Cana-
da's top music artists who
has been nominated for the
Juno's "Country Album of
the Year." The Band Perry is
a chart -topping hot -country
music group who recently
won the Grammy Award for
"Best Country Group": You
can join in experiencing The
Band Perry as they are show-
cased in the always phe-
nomenal grand finale on the
Lucknow's Music in the
Fields Saturday night.
One of the goals from the
very beginning of Lucknow's
Music in the Fields was to try
to promote up and coming
Canadian artists. The com-
mittee feels that this has
been accomplished again for
the 2015 lineup festival. The
majority of the lineup are
outstanding Canadian acts.
Joining Dallas Smith on
Friday, August 28 will see be
Jess Moskaluke, Juno nomi-
nee for "Breakthrough Artist
of the Year': Runaway Angel
will be returning. She was
one of last year's winners of
the Sepoy Saloon Side Stage
Contest.
Easton Corbin, an
American chart topper who
has a brand new album
ready to be released will per-
form in the lead up to The
Band Perry. Rounding out
the Saturday lineup are
returning acts Chad Brown-
lee and Autumn Hill and a
new artist Livy Jeanne.
Always looking to improve
the event, The Music in the
Fields continues to make
Us4 4III YalitITiTrni
changes to make the festival
more enjoyable for all.
Camping is a huge part of
the Music in the Fields expe-
rience. Growing with the fes-
tival, this year over 1100
campsites will be filled. This
year the evolution continues
as changes have become
necessary to deal with the
large volume of campers
who come to Lucknow for a
weekend stay. Please refer to
the website http://www.
musicinthefields.ca for
information and the rules for
the camping area.
Lucknow's Music in the
Fields could not happen
without the over 500 volun-
teers needed to run an event
of this size efficiently. Volun-
teers are critical to the suc-
cess of the event and are
greatly appreciated by the
organizers and those who
attend. To become involved
in the largest festival in Luc -
know, visit the website
http://www.musicinthe-
fields.ca and look under the
Information tab for
Volunteers.
An outstanding event for
the community, Lucknow's
Music in the Fields is a pri-
mary fundraiser for the Luc -
know and District Kinsmen
Club. As such, festival profits
are returned to the commu-
nity to help support groups
and projects throughout the
area. Throughout the year
the Kinsmen donate the
funds directly to schools,
hospitals, area service clubs,
the Cystic Fibrosis founda-
tion, as well as building and
maintaining projects in the
community and other wor-
thy causes.

know's Music in the Fields
