The Lucknow Sentinel, 2015-08-26, Page 66 Lucknow Sentinel • Wednesday, August 26, 2015 Janice Van Osch Annual Lucknow antique tractor parade There were 35 tractors and 2 antique trucks in the antique tractor parade through Lucknow on August 15, 2015. The drivers of the antique tractors and trucks ended the parade on August 15, 2015 at Mary's Restaurant, Lucknow for breakfast. The sign held indicates that the vehicles in the parade were from the 1950's or older. The antique tractor parade formed outside of the village on August 15, 2015. Here they travel down Belgrave Road on their way to stops at the 3 local long -term - care centres in Lucknow. Several residents from Nine Mile Villa, Pinecrest Manor and Sepoy Manor gathered outside of their residence to enjoy the parade. Let's start again week Overdue books amnesty at Bruce County Public Library Submitted Each year the Bruce County Library loses not only books and DVDs, it also loses members who want to avoid overdue fines. We'd like to start again! To remove at least one of the barriers to returning an overdue item, Bruce County Public Library members are encouraged to return their overdue library materials without penalty or fine dur- ing an amnesty to be Lrr•s MAkt chricel uls jlnlr held August 31- September 5, 2015. Materials returned need to be in good condition but no questions will be asked and no fines will be charged. Overdue materials can be returned without charge to any of the 17 branches in the Bruce County Public Library system during the amnesty period. Library materials must be returned to library staff at a service desk. Fines will not be waived if overdue items are returned through the book drop. The amnesty doesn't cover lost items, but those who have lost library mate- rials should come in and talk to library staff. "Once a patron's account exceeds $10 (in fines), their library card is blocked. Sometimes people stop using the library because they have accumulated overdue fines. We hope this amnesty week will encour- age people to start again with the library" said Melissa Legacy, Library Director.
