A Holyrood Butchers fan
has shared photos of the
local hockey team for com-
parison. As there are so
many avid hockey families in
the Sentinel readership, it
was felt that there would be
more than a few who would
like to see both photos, taken
42 years apart. The Holyrood
Butchers played a couple of
games against the Kintail
Flyers on March 21, 2015.
Some of the players from
the 1973 Holyrood Butch-
ers team are still actively
playing, as is evident by the
players' names listed, as
some appear for both the
1973 and 2015 photos. Also
evident is that many of the
surnames match even
when the given names do
not, suggesting that the leg-
acy continues to spread
from one generation to the
next and across family
trees.
How many players do you
recognize from each photo?
Do you know how they are
connected?
To share your "then and
now" photos, please send
them to lucknow.editorial@
sunmedia.ca along with a
description of what is
happening, where and when
it happened, as well as the
the names of those present,
if possible.

Wolves completed a come-
back from down 3-1 with a 5-0
win over Shallow Lake. This
WOAA Sr. 'A' title is the first
championship we have won

Game 6 gave the Wolves a
7-1 win. Game 7 was another
win with a 5-0 finish with all
5 goals being scored in the
second period.
The Wolves executive
thanks the players, coaching
staff, volunteers, sponsors
and fans for their dedication
this season. It is a massive
commitment to be a part of
this team, and you all
deserve to enjoy this
accomplishment.
