HENSALL NURSERY SCHOOL The month of November was an exciting one for the Hensall Nur- sery School. The fundraising con- cert took place on November 15 and although the final tallies are not in they are optimistic. A special thank you to the efforts of the planning and fundraising commit- tees. The children also enjoyed a trip to the Goderich Museum on November 20. The lifesize train appeared to be the main attraction. No doubt the hands - on bell rin- ging contributed to this. Other attractions included and antique doll house, dolls and trucks. The children were also assisted in making wooden sheep ornaments to take home. With all the magic of Christmas ahead a very special month surely awaits the children. PROGRAM UPDATE In last week's paper I wrote about my duties as a parent volunteer and how important I feel my job is. Hensall Public School needs more parents like myself to give a child that little bit of extra time that teachers so often can't. If you have some spare time, even an hour or two why not call the school at 262-2833. They will be glad to hear from you. Time spent on education is time well spent. Your children need you. BEAVERS, CUBS AND SCOUTS. The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts Canada have been busy. The profit from their apple day was $126.52. The Scouts held their Christmas swimming party at Kicks in Exeter followed by pizza at Grammies. The October yard sale brought in $125. There are more Beavers wanting to join the Colony but if this is going to be possible more leaders are needed. If you can help out in this area why not attend the next meeting on December 6 at 8:15 at Hensall Public School. SHUFFLEBOARD Hensall's five game winners in shuffleboard were; Alice Thiel with a score of 396, John Pepper with 311, Eileen Dowson with 295, and George Dowson with 292. The high six game winners were Glen Davidson with 424 and David Woodward with 378. A Christmas pot luck dinner will be held December 4 at 12 noon with shuffleboard to follow. from 11011w... every week!.. CANADA NEWS...
